i miss the stranger days. they were the best times of my youth. whenever they were at the rocky point beach resort or mark twains i would be there. i still listen to all of the music. it takes me back to younger healthy times.
i would love to have another copy of this stranger again but cant find it nowhere please respond and let me know how i can get one anybody brings back a lot of memories
I used to see them at Mark Twain in Tampa when they first started playing there - Greg was so fun to watch and Ronnie was so cool, nice guy and could PLAY that guitar. I, too, was so incredibly sad when I learned of his passing.
They did NOT get the recognition that they deserved for sure...they shudda been on MTV!
there is a music store in deland that has their albu and will make a disc for 10 bucks, but im also looking for the taping of their concert at bithlo speedway I know they were there servaeral times hell I would buy them all they film me and my daughter when she was 3
They used to play at DFORDS club here in Columbus Ga back in the 80's when they were promoting their No Rules album...At least I got a copy of it in cassette...They were badly promoted...
One of the most underrated acts to come out of the 80's and 90's-it's a shame. These guys should have got the recognition they really deserved, and rocketed to the top of the charts with songs like this one! Thanks for posting all the videos.
Wow I just found this video brings back great memories, the Button on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale in the early 90's oh my god you guys friggin rocked. Never missed a show when you were down. I don't know how you guys never made it big. When I heard about Ronnie it made me sick he was so good and he always looked like he was having a great time up on that stage. That beat up old guitar should be in the Hard Rock. God bless you guys and I'm sure Ronnie is reading this and smiling down on us.
One of the few bands I'd still go see today if it were possible. I've seen them in Gainesville, Tampa, West Palm Beach, and Lauderdale. If they were playing where I was, I went. Man, they rocked!
OMG, I forgot about this. Oh, poor poor Ronnie. Now I remember. He was touched by pop b4 pop was hip in hair. (I think this was the real reason I turned against Hair, elevator music combined with rock. Don't laugh Kiss is a regular in your elevator).
I remember hearing Stranger on 95YNF sometime in late 80's. I was still in high school, so I never saw them live. Joined USAF after high school. I came home on leave in 1994(?) and tuned to 94.9 while cruising down US 19 through Crystal River area. I got some "light and contemporary" crap. A sad day. I knew it was the end of an era. WYNF is gone. But the memory remains...
Grew up in Tampa/St. Pete in the 80s; saw them at M.L. Chaser's and they blew the doors off the joint; great song, strong video; if they had the proper support from their record company, this song would've gone Top 10; thanks for the post.
I recently saw Greg in st pete he looks good and happy with the Greg Billings Band but, Damn I miss the days at Club 19.
