Excellent video. I worked in a foundry 40 plus years ago and our method of charging the cupola was nearly identical. Is your coke and limestone (flux) stored in the open, or covered and protected from the elements?
I believe that charge is mostly coke but yes we do use pig iron, as well as a large quantity of scrap iron and some scrap steel. We alter ratios of charge material based upon what grades of iron we will be pouring.
Reminds Me when I worked over at Grede Foundries in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.
