Is it just me who noticed? The way Vikky Mendoza was shown to move on the chart did not correspond to what was said (x,y) = (crazy, hot).

She starts off at about (7,3) where she shaves her head, and then looses 5 crazy points for loosing 10 pounds to (2,3).

Then she gains 7 crazy points AND 4 hot points by stabbing him with a fork to (9,7).

Then she gets a boob job making her loose 7 crazy points but gain no hot points to (2,7).

Yes, i know, noticing this makes me a nerd :P

Shaving her head is crazier than hot. Losing 10 lbs. helps put her above the line - her thought's in the right place so the crazy level goes down, but the shaved head doesn't make her any hotter. Stabbing him with a fork makes her extremely crazy, yet thinking about her getting all worked up about stuff is kinda hot - just not hot enough to bring her above the line. Getting a boob job makes her so hot it immediately makes up for all the craziness.

when Barney was telling the vicky mendoza the scales should be reversed; now she got less crazy when she lost ten pounds she got less crazy, not hotter. After that she got crazier, but also hotter because she stabbed barney with a fork (how is that hot?), and then she got a boob job, which made her less crazy, though not hotter.. it's not right.

While the scale is right, Barney's drawing during the story is wrong. When she lost ten pounds or got a boob job, she should have gone up (more hot), not left (less crazy).

No, he never says that hotness and craziness change together, just the product of the two has to stay above the line for Barney to be interested in a woman. It's possible to get more hot or less hot without your craziness level changing.

Barney's example is just wrong, watch the line he draws. When she loses ten pounds and when she gets a boob job, her crazy level goes down but her hotness stays the same. The drawing should look like an N, not a Z.
