that was pretty cool I was looking to renlist back in as eather a 25V or R this cleared things up quite a bit, V is what I'm looking for thanks guys. Currently going to Art institute for video production and digital film so I wanted a mos more specific to what I just went to college for.
@M3Muffinman: I think what you're looking for is the the 25V Combat Documentation/Production Specialist. They handle a lot of videography and photography. They don't write stories, they just capture video in combat and field sites. And yes, you are correct, 25R AIT teaches electronic and maintenance fundamentals as they briefly teach you how to use a camera.
what do you learn in AIT is it just being a electrition stuff and not operating the equipment? if 25r's dont operate the equipment who does? how do i become part of a camera crew? is the 25R MOS only allowed to be a camera crew or is there a specific MOS for that?
@M3MuffinMan: your primary job is to fix and maintain the equipment. Your secondary job is to operate them. So, to answer your question, yes, you can play with cameras and edit videos. And if you like making movies and are very good with handling cameras, you might just be part of the camera crew in studios and events. Once your in the Public Affairs, it's easy to meddle around exploring your skills and artistic abilities. But remember, your primary job is to fix and maintain. Secondary job is
@neveragainvids - I'm glad it helped clarify a few things. I was also clueless in the beginning before I transferred to this MOS because recruiters didn't have much info about it either. I figured making a video of what our job consist of in the real world would shed a little light of the unknown. Good luck.
Hey, thanks for the video it answered alot of questions that I had. Now I have a much better idea of what ill be doing for 5 years in the army. Haha I'm fresh out of highschool and chose this MOS, so I wanted to say thanks for making this video cause it helped a lot.
@DMJohn73 - Thanks SFC Johnson. I was just was watching your video regarding the headsets. They look very comfy. Awesome video. You must've edited that through Final Cut Pro. I'm just assuming of course. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :0)
@Matej1200 - Thanks Mate. It was indeed an awesome little project. However, I suppose I could've done something better if I had more time. I only had less than 48hrs to create it. Let's just say I didn't sleep very well. Hehehehehe. Glad you liked it.
