  • "How much more of an outsider can you be? He's not even running!"

  • what the fuck? he said he was consistent, he never mentioned anything about his policies or actually endorsing him. seriously wtf

  • no he didn't

  • Holy shit I was pissing myself over that joke. Stephen you're a fucking legend.

  • Sure you could just vote for the average loser, like MItt Romney who will probably SELL AMERICA OUT for a quick buck to china.... or GINGRUNCH who will probably legalize poligamy or... you could you know... vote for someone who might actually make a change in govt for the better.

    Ron Paul 2012.

To all those voters over 26 (because you are the only ones not voting for ron paul) , I beg you to atleast sit down and look at the facts and consider Ron Paul so we can actually ... live to see 2013.

  • Ron Paul supporters aren't even smart enough to know when their being made fun of. The hay into gold remark is poking fun at Paul's supporters.

  • @dealmeidaable Guys who try to trash talk Ron Paul supporters aren't even smart enough to know the difference between there, they're, and their.

  • @paintblock :L good point. tho he's not an actual "supporter" as such, he votes democrat. he was just forced to choose in the srur of the moment between the republican candidates. out of them ron paul would be the most appealing to the someone on the centre left like colbert :D

  • @dealmeidaable I'm pretty sure that comment was not made to poke fun at Ron Paul's supporters. It was made to poke fun at the media who display Ron Paul as a crazy man. It also reference Ron Paul's advocacy of the Gold Standard. Why would he make fun of Ron Paul's supporters when he actually goes so far as to break character(something he rarely does) to state that he is one?

  • Ron Paul supporters are liars. Colbert and Stewart are two of the most liberal voices on cable television. Anyone who watches their show's knows this.

  • It may be that he would support Paul for the nomination, but Colbert pretty clearly leans toward the left and I doubt he'll honestly want paul to win in the general election (if Paul is nominated which is already incredibly unlikely/impossible

  • I like how Ron Paul bots automactically think he is endorsing Ron Paul when really isn't. Ron Paul bots don't know he is a democrat, (which is sad) and he will vote for Obama.

  • @MrBigBEARHUNTER Can I call you a retard because you automatically think that everyone is a "bot"? Its ironic really, because the real "bot" would be you.

  • @superfly000 Did I say every Ron Paul supporter is a bot, you imbesile? Shut the fuck up.

  • GOOD SHIT

  • @Friedstuffsable You are so stupid.

  • @yen10tan NO. It is true. Look it up. It is on Homeland Security's website. Paul & Colbert had fad drags in South Carolina.

  • @Friedstuffsable Ya I heard that on the interwebs too!!! Don't questions the nets yen10tan

  • @JakeNonphixion I smell a satanist...

  • @Friedstuffsable OOOH! Ya I read about those too! They sacrifice their kids to Moloch right? Bohemian Grove shit! No, that's not me, that's Obamabush... ;)

  • @JakeNonphixion Bohemian grove is a faggot party with satanic rituals. I think Nixon said it best. "That place is full of queers"

  • @Friedstuffsable Ya, and according to Santorum all queers are going to hell, so that already makes them default associates with Satan, even before the weird giant owl stuff.

  • @JakeNonphixion Sorry, I misquoted Nixon. He actually said; "That place, Is the most faggy god damned thing you could ever imagine. The San Francisco crowd that goes in there.. It is just terrible! I won't shake hands with anybody from San Francisco" - Nixon... HAHAHAHA!

  • idiotic audience did not clap when he endorsed Paul. I do not know what to say!

  • the sad thing is that he'd make a better president than the recent ones

  • I dont think he was breaking character.

  • Stephen Colbert for president!

  • The question was "of the republican candidates, which one do you like?" That's like answering the question.. "of these sharks, which would you like to be eaten by?" I hardly consider this an endorsement.

  • @CarKrashed YOU BIG SMELLY WILLY

  • on a lighter note,.. Omg that blonde is sexy as hell... lol :3

  • wwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooowwwwwwwwww!!

    STEPHEN FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

i truly havnt seen anybody think on their feet as well as Stephen ,. hes smart as fuck

  • I didnt get the joke, what did he say??'

  • @MRCORNEJOCASTELFORTE It alludes to Rumpelstiltskin, who spins hay into gold. It's wry, intellectual humour. From Wiki: In an episode of "Morning Joe", "Stephen Colbert" joked, "Do you know that if you guess Ron Paul's name, he has to teach you to spin hay into gold?", prompting unstoppable laughs from the show hosts.

  • @Solarfactor I think, it was a highly intelligent allusion to the media dislike of Ron Paul, as to how they would rather not pronounce his name.

It's a brilliant, subtle, and critical allusion.

  • 1:37 the guy at the left is thinking "Shut the fuck up saying nice things about Ron Paul, we're not supposed to do that"

  • American politicts makes me feel dirty.

  • pft, ron paul. pft, all of them.

  • The most disturbing thing is Newt, Romney or Santorum are beating Ron Paul.

  • @1776bricks Only if you knew and your ilk could!

Ron Paul is winning hands down, dude!

    Ron Paul 2012

  • @LORDOFWARS8 I'm sure if we had honest people counting the votes it wouldn't even be close, but that's just not happening. We haven't had a real election in this country for a long long time.

  • It's nice to see when someone genuinely has a hardy laugh. It's infectious. Scarborough just had a genuine hardy laugh.

  • Calling that an endorsement is a real stretch. He says that he thinks Ron Paul has redeeming qualities, which can be said about any human being. That doesn't mean any human being should be President.

  • @corvaxxx agreed, i like Ron Paul, i think hes a nice enough guy. But does that mean i think he'd be a good president? No. Libertarianism sounds good in theory, but it doesn't work in practice. Same can be said about Socialism, too much one way or the other is a bad thing. There needs to be a balance, which is a concept that seems to be lost on the current GOP candidates.

  • @gjb707 I disagree. I think libertarian style government doesn't last because it allows the corrupt to get in. Once that happens it's all over, but as far as different governing styles go, I'd think none will work without caring, honest people to run them.

  • @1776bricks

Allows the corrupt to get in? By eliminating Government ties to Wall Street and big Corporations, we are letting the corrupt in? Hate to break it to you, but the corrupt ARE in already, and we need them out. Ron Paul, baby.

  • @vmcnick yes, libertarian style government allows whoever gets the most votes in. Then once the corrupt buy their way in, they change things so you can't get them out. That's why we were a libertarian Republic and now we're a capitalist state, turtledove.

  • @1776bricks

I'm sorry, but you have no understanding of the terms you're using. We were capitalist UNTIL we ceased to be libertarian and let corporations run the show (States gave up many rights to the federal government after the Civil War). We currently live in a society of corporatism, not capitalism. Libertarianism is the anti-corporatism society. It makes the STATES have control. Each individual state runs its own show.. They aren't being controlled by the Feds anymore. Wake up.

  • @vmcnick Do you know what you're talking about? We were a Republic before the confederacy bought their way into the government. They have made money (capital) the most important thing NOT Liberty. You are incorrect on your definitions smart guy. Maybe you need to spend another 4 years in college and study government.

  • @1776bricks

Capitalism and a republic aren't mutually exclusive terms... You are making yourself look foolish here.

  • Comment removed

  • @vmcnick do you know what capitalism is? When in history did we first hear the word 'capitalism'? Did our founding fathers ever use it? Did Abraham Lincoln ever use the term? I haven't seen the word in history. Was Rome capitalist? And if so, did they say so?

  • @1776bricks At the end of Feudal times? Hate to break it to you, but it has been the popular economic model in the West for the past 400-500 years.. Capitalism = An economic system wherein there is private ownership of the means of production, creation of goods or services for profit or income, the accumulation of capital, competitive markets, voluntary exchange and wage labor.. I don't know why you're talking about Rome though... but no, it was not a capitalist society.

  • @vmcnick fine, you say it was a model, but when was the term first used? The United States wasn't always a capitalist. Why wasn't Rome a capitalist but the USA is, what's the difference? Did you know that Rome debased their currency causing inflation?

  • @1776bricks

It doesn't matter when the term was first used... It is just a word which describes a real phenomena. We could call any number of synonyms if we want but that is pointless. Why was Rome not capitalist? Slave labor.. Without slaves they would crumble. A capitalist society is completely reliant on paid labor. How is that even a question? And yes I know they did that, which is why Government regulated economies blow... Answer? FREE MARKET. This is what Libertarians want. Climb aboard!

  • lol that guy on the left looks so disenchanted at the end LOLOLOL its like he's saying to the camera 'thats not what we were going for'. Preach It Colbert!

  • Hell yea. Ron Paul is the best. The man says what he believes, and he never changes his answers..and that shows how serious he is about changing America. Making it a better place..

  • Why is it "disturbing" that Stephen Colbert is at the top? He's the only decent guy on there.

  • he gave the false bait with the gold joke and caught them completely off guard and then zinged them with the Ron Paul Endorsement...genius...they were speachless

  • Awesome

  • That's not a real endorsement. He only says that Ron Paul is the only one who's not a liar. I think he meant it in a sort of lesser of 4 evils way.

  • I love that man.

  • Paul / Colbert 2012

  • I want Ron Paul to teach me how to spin hay into gold! LOL, that was terrific!

  • thats not an endorsement... Colbert's an idiot.

  • @kiabadie No, your mother is just a whore

  • @kiabadie Make up your mind dumbass....If Colbert is an idiot, WTH would you care if it was an endorsement or not?----derp derp
