  • epic..!!

  • Poets of the Fall - the most underrated band, ever.

  • Wait, who's the guy singing at the beginning?

  • @Catmangamer Marco is singing the whole time, he is acting as another guy based on the story.

  • great contemporary song!

  • my own idea as to what this song is about is simply, people wanting someone else to clean up their messes. There are several cues of this in the song including 'a scapegoat to rock the boat yeah we need someone expendable.' That line right there imho states pure and simple that yeah, people want someone to take care of the problems and then forget about them. Put simply, I think this song is about taking our heroes for granted. They save the day, we forget they exist. They are expendable. :'(

  • @SweetMelodyP Interesting take on it I believe the lines refer to people(politicians) wanting to blame someone for all that has gone wrong rather than work together "can we be sensible and find a way to break the fall". We're seeking a imaginary hero who is oblivious to crime(corruption) to save us. The cones represent the blindness to real issues. The thing he is holding represents the evil or corruption they blindly allow to exist but as POTF gets their attention they finally see

  • dat prechorus <3

  • I want to believe that the meaning behind the video, is that the cones represent the lies we are fed every day, they keep you from realizing that the apple you hold, is rotten. Anyone else have any ideas?

  • I really like this band !!

  • 日本人ですいませんこのアーティストを始めてみて聞きました!

    かっこいいですね!

  • I saw this Vid when it had 1337 likes \m/

  • Only 184.238 ? Lol... I'm the only one who watching this -_-

  • Why do people always find a way to bring religion into every single song on youtube?.....This is more political....Carnival of rust is more religious than this song

  • @HeroXofXTime21 My guess is that they say is there a hero and the fisrt thing that come to people mind is he talking Jesus.Which i hate because it ruins many songs

  • @MrBlackatheist it has not to do with Jesus. It is all about this man who was cloned into triplet: Jason, Aaron, and Jeremiah. Jeremiah was taken away for "study" and the boys never saw their brother again. Aaron went on to work for the people who took him and Jason rebelled against them which broke them apart, Hence Marko arguing with "himself" and the man holding the mechanical orange is Jeremiah, he comes back finally in the end.

  • @unreachableloveforu thanks you telling me what the is about.I knew it had nothing to with Jesus I'am just saying some people do think it about him because they say something about a hero.

  • @unreachableloveforu

Interesting theory, is it your own or did you hear it from POTF. Some reliable sources please, I'm curious.

  • @gnelglurbus my friend Jude who is obsessed told me but if you asked Poets they would tell you that, she also added her own version of the story with a little more too it. Look her up on facebook for more info: /belladonnaink

  • @gnelglurbus oh and tell her Savi sent you.

  • @MrBlackatheist Actually they're saying that you should send your money to me.

  • @dumbyeah I think that it's obvious that what they are saying is that they want to give your money to me.

  • tää video nähty varmaa 1000 kertaa,ei vaa kyllästy ikinä varmaa

  • @mark17299

Meinaan joo aivan totta! Harva biisi on just tällanen, johon ei kovinkaan helposti kyllästy...

  • Jumantsukka...Hyvä Suomi...Hyvä Poets of the fall....nostan teille hattua! Löysin tämän videon sattumalta!..hienoa..jee..

  • I loved Linkin Park, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Green Day...But when I listened to Poets Of The Fall I really forgot all of them. And now Poets is my favorite band. Next LIVE show in my country and I'll buy the costliest ticket of it.

  • @RabbitWolfpack1

And this all made by band who started by recording their songs in Marko's (singer) livingroom if I remember correctly, fancy isn't it?

  • so underrated....

  • i meant cool

  • dude its a coll song a coll band forget religion just watch it

  • 10 people lock themselves in their room.

  • There is No doubt that POTF is one of the Greatest bands in the world..... whenever I trying to choose my favorite songs of them, every time I get confused.. They have released total 53 songs so far (from their albums + single tracks) and I must say that their 'Each & Every' song is so beautiful...in other word, it will be a very hard job to find a 'bad' song of them.. which has an 'Ordinary' lyrics.....

There lyrics has a lots of depth.. & speaks volumes...........: Yeah! This is true..:)

  • I arrived here through an RPG forum about suitable theme songs for Exalted.

This was suggested as the theme for the Usurpation, where the Solar Exalted were betrayed by their armies and had their Exaltations trapped in the Jade Prison. Allow me to rephrase that:

    They Locked Up the Solars.

On a related note, it's a good song.

  • For some reason I can't listen this song without watching the video at the same time.

    The best part 1:27 - 1:34 :)

  • It's my favourite music video ♥

  • god music \.../d(o.O)p

  • Someone told me these guys sounded like shit, so I took my fist and permanently sealed his treacherous mouth for all time. True story.

  • Vapsee hae lugu +++++++++

  • Wait a minute... Finland... Dudesons?

  • i like theyr videoclips ..are full of something new and original.

  • I love these guys. Just completely LOVE LOVE

  • i like the middle part of the sing and the initial music =D

  • Tosi upea bändi! Tosi mahtava bändi! Terkut täältä Pomarkusta!

  • Tosi upeanbändi ja upea biisi! Hienoa Suomi!

  • Well, heres a reason to be proud of finland :)

  • @InLateFlames You stole words from my mouth! :D

  • POTF seriously is my favorite band. I live in the US and I got their album, DVD, and shirt from Helsinki, Finland.

  • These guys are so badass they can lock up the sun... with their bare hands.

  • what does that guy have against that orenge....

  • I love it, awesome song!!!

  • Finland has a strong showing with some awesome bands, POTF is just another outstanding example love them!

  • tähänki ralliin sopis paremmin joku maailman tuhoomis video ta piirretty vihree lihaskimppu kaikille niille jotka ymmärtää musiikkia ja sen pieniä koukeroita tässä suomenkielen taito ilman aaoista eli in finish rock n roll

  • tähänki ralliin sopis paremmin joku maailman tuhoomis video ta piirretty vihree lihaskimppu

  • plus je découvre ce groupe et plus je trouve que c'est superbe, magnifique, j'adooooore!!!!

  • One thing I like about POTF is the music videos. They're very odd, in a good way :)

  • Can't understand why people hit the dislike button... :( Lovely band, great guys and wonderful sounds :) VAUTSI ♥

  • This should be the Occupy Wall Street theme song.

  • I think the cones over the eyes of the people sitting down signifies the way that people are blind to what is transpiring around them and I also believe that both blonde guys singing in the boxing ring are the same guy which also means that the important government officials are always supposedly arguing and wrangling over their problems but they are actually on the same side. They just collect paychecks to seem as if they are fighting for the welfare of the countries of earth.

  • Am i the only one who finds the part around 1:31 Adorable? :D .

  • @TheAllihb Not the only one )))

  • see its about people needing a hero but there never realy is a real hero that can save u just yourself

  • i feel sad for america nad other countries who dont hear potf often or dont even know what is potf. here in finland you can hear potf kinda often in radio. its our grand jewel :)

  • @hepalamukala You have one lucky country...

  • @609Blondebomb yeah but it is good that atleast youtube gives this awesome music to others too :)

  • I'M AMERICAN AND I LOVE THIS BAND!!!

  • Awesome song, i really love it... But i got a question: I dont understand the meaning of this videoclip... It tries to tell me something, but i dont understand (i just know english quite bad and i dont understand everything they're talking about). Can anyone tell me please?

  • @Stunter353 hmmm.. how i understand this video is that someone or something has taken control of the world (i think those bird face things) and now people need hero to save them. and in the end he says that hero is in all of us :)

just my opinion i cant understand english very well either but thats how i think it is :)

correct if im wrong or you have different opinion :)

  • @hepalamukala Thank you very much... Helpful information :)

  • i cant get that point why he stub the orange?

  • @dem0aikido honestly, it's up to you to decide what it means to you. i see it as how corporate society does nothing but putrefy and mangle the simple pleasures in life.

  • anyone else ever notice that the finnish are damn good when it comes to bands? poets of the fall, him, 69 eyes, spiha etc

  • @19spain93 of course! don't forget The Rasmus, Sunrise Avenue and Nightwish ;)

  • @Regisseur95 yes! :D

  • @wasabimario I can assure you that they're not Christian, spiritual perhaps but not particularly religious. I've read myriads of their interviews in Finnish (the native language of mine and theirs) and haven't found a single hint pointing to Christianity. (Well, not atheism either.) Their outlook on life shouldn't however stop you from enjoying their music for that matter.

  • I've found the answer to the question in the song :D!! DOCTOR WHO!!!!!!

    Thumbs up if you agree!

  • When people start going on to me about the lyrical genius that died with the end of the 90s, I simply refer them to Poets of the Fall. Good music is not extinct; it's just as unpopular with the masses as it's always been, while stupid shit owns the airwaves.

  • @Gravija01 you are right the real music is hidden and bad music out hope they learn that good music should be out

  • heh did you notice that they say fall in every song they make :)

  • how in the fucking hell could 7 people dislike this?

  • Honestly, I don't see this as a religious song... it seems more of a corporate song than anything.

  • POTF + The Dudesons = Why Finland is awesome. Lol.

  • I'm pretty sure they are not christian lol. Harly anyone is a christian anymore in Finland, we got too educated as other Nordic countries as well. It doesn't mean that ppl are much more atheist though but rather that ppl now have their individual views of this world which might include theism, atheism or agnosticm or whatever.

  • @JuTuubi Please send some of that common sense to America. We are desperately in need of it. lol

  • @dejavuman22

    I´ll say!

    Oh wait. ...

  • @JuTuubi Sounds like I need to move to Finland. That or educate the U.S. to better standards...

You know what, I'll just move to Finland...

  • @JuTuubi

    facepalm

  • @JuTuubi The Lutheran Curch of Finland is the 7th largest Lutheran church in the world. Nearly 80% of children were baptized Lutheran in Finland in 2010. The second largest church in Finland is the Othodox church with 1,1% of population belonging to it. The third largest is the Catholic church.

  • @dumbyeah Don't let the number blind you. Yes, most Finns are in Lutheran church but not because of faith but tradition. Based on people I know I think approximately 1 out of 20 believes what they teach. At least this is the case with young people. Finnish people are after all pretty openminded to all religions. Finland is probably one of the worlds most secular countries.

  • Much love from Pakistan! :)

  • @wasabimario i see what you saying but if they are a christian band if doesn't effect me

  • @wasabimario r u retarted

  • i just recently found these guys (playing alan wake) and they are really good. Love this song!

  • Wish more people here in America knew about POTF, sure they would be a big hit!

  • @mercygal1 I'm American, and I love this band. I totally agree with you. They would definitely get hella popular. I heard they're trying to get on the next guitar hero (or rockband?) I would love to be able to play this song. So epic!

  • @mercygal1 Its tough to get a non american band popular in america because the fat cats want only american music to be popular in america. You cant stimulate the american economy with finnish music. (Though I wish it wasn't about money)

  • RESPECT from Pakistan

  • @Auestyn I don't know. It sounds too awesome to be on something like Twilight. I'll look it up. Thanks, either way. :)

  • @JadeBage xD I meant the album "Twilight Theatre" not the movie "Twilight."

  • Good God, this song is addictive/incredible. I have to find a CD of these guys.

  • @JadeBage I think this song is on the Twilight Theatre album. I'm not sure, so I may be wrong. My apologies.

  • I'd love to see Machinae Supremacy take a shot at this song.

  • Preachy art is generally bad art. I'm a Christian and I'm incredibly disappointed that Christian art is as preachy as it is nowadays. I enjoy listening to good music too, and if I can't find it in a Christian bookstore, I'll find it somewhere else. And now most of my favorite music is secular.

  • @gravyhouse Believe it or not, but Slipnot is Christian at least that is what i heard from someone whose's best friend is in the band.

  • This is probably my favourite Poets of the fall song after Carnival of rust. :)

  • So biutefeal and hardcore song and only 135,245 !? People don't know what is good music.

  • best band ever

  • I heard this song todays 78 :)

  • I do not tell " 7 people are noobs " because the aren't noobs , but that is great song.

  • "Is there a hero somewhere, someone who appears and saves the day

Someone who holds out a hand and turns back time

Is there a hero somewhere, someone who will never walk away

Who doesn't turn a blind eye to a crime !!!!! " FUCK ! Another favorite song , because that about Batman :)

  • I don't think it's an exaggeration to say I'm in love with this song and video.

    And PotF.

  • One Of Them Looks Like A Chef From Hell's Kitchen

  • @sudeeprocks30 Chef Ramsey, was that man's name, right? :D

  • @MakroMim95 hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @wasabimario who cares. saying that their religion affects their music is like saying ice cream affects the moon.

  • I believe I have found my muse.

  • someone please explain to me the video :S

  • he has the voice of an angel <3

  • Does the music video look like it would be a Christian band...?

  • @ThePeissi more important, does it matters?

  • @ThePeissi To be honest, i don't give a crap. Religion screws up plenty of other stuff (not atheist, but not blind either), lets just keep it out of music.

  • The best vocal duels are against yourself, no matter what happens you win!

  • @wasabimario, @Uselessfull1 What does religion have to do with good music?

  • @wasabimario Religion shouldn't make you stop listening to GOOD music.. no they are not christian but I'm Atheist and I listen to really good christian bands and After i listened to the band We As Human I am actually becoming Christian... which really doesn't matter i'm just rambling on.. BUT! the point is you being Atheist or Christian or any other religion shouldn't make you stop listening to good music..

  • @DrunkenMonkeyErect WHO DO YOU VOODOO BITCH?!

  • @DrunkenMonkeyErect

    WHO DO YOU VOODOO BITCH?!

  • @DrunkenMonkeyErect Spoken well.

  • Comment removed

  • @wasabimario I can happily tell that they're not. I'm atheist too and can't stand religious music at all.

  • @Uselessfull1 dont be stuck up just accept peoples beleifs and the world will be a better place

  • @Cinimod237 I'm accepting their belief just fine. This has nothing to do with POTF.

  • @Uselessfull1 one question does this sound like chritsan music

  • @zoey809 it does not. =D

  • this is like people cant c the light/the truth and then looking within there self and understand and c what is true and what is not and c the light, thats what i thought when they took the masks off

  • I love music videos that have weird stuff going on

  • love this group from the second I heard it. Are they going to come to Spain??

This group is inspirating: wether I'm sad or angry, its can make me happy and make me want to sing

Just amazing, I cant describe. Well yes: POETS OF THE FALL

Well anyways, they should be more than a band, A LEGEND OF VOICES!!!!! Such lovely tones and everything, unlike Lil Wayne with like, "Drugs girls weed weed weed weed pokemon weed weed cocaine weed dinosaurs weed girls MORE WEED and green peppers!" -____- Just......everyone just keep hearing their music and support them

  • @1tiger2 Nice one tiger

  • @POTF4ever carnival of rust has over 3 million views

  • @jack4783 not enough...

  • and in the emptiness there is a solution just look within yourself for absolution is my favourite quote of all-time. Love the depth and mastery of words that Poets of the Fall have achieved.

  • Thumbs up if ur a finlandian and proud of it!

  • @kyuubi908 "finlandian"....??? *nauraa kippurassa/rofl* Meinaakko finnish?? ;D
