I think everyone is missing the biggest point. So what if kids couldnt celebrate christmas in school, or decorate with christmas themed stuff. All that would mean is they would get to join every other theological sect in not celebrating their god in school, and so they would do what the rest do...go to school to learn, and get their religion @ home. Sounds fair and balanced to me. I think its more ludacris that the rest have to celebrate christmas...not that little christians cant..thx 4 vid!!

Put it this way, the Best deli and Best bakery in the area are closed from 2PM friday until early Sunday morning. If you're craving bagels, a babka, or a corned beef sandwich saturday, you're SOL.
The Jewish school nearby is closed the week of Christmas.

A lot of evangelicals think it's somehow uncool or rebellious in society to be a Christian. For some reason they've pumped themselves up as underdogs and a minority against the world that hates them and their faith because Satan said so. It's all to make themselves feel special and powerful, to make themselves think they're superior to everyone else. So not only are they Christian and proud of it, they make it a point to say they aren't ashamed and will fight for the faith etc. herp derp

@wonggongs Actually the Pilgrims came to North America with the purpose of having communties that specifically followed their Puritan faith and none-other. They were already living in the Netherlands, but realized that their children would become tolerant, open minded, and eventually Dutch, if they didn't move to North America. This can be verified from the History channel Thanksgiving Special. Christian extremism was in the colonies from the beginning.

1. Perry was talking to all the people you never knew were Christian because they HAVEN'T stood up for what they believe.
2. Someone's comment about being a Christian and being proud to say faith had nothing to do with America's heritage, is an ignorant statement. Until you read the original historical documents written by those founding fathers, I highly encourage you to refrain from repeating this nonreligious foundations junk that you heard from some brainwashed teacher or professor.

More people admit their religion. Gays should be able to serve no matter what Christianity says. It's not like America forces people to be Christian, so why not let gays serve in the military, as a Christian I support gays in the military. And I wouldn't call it pushing religion out of school. More like neutralizing it publicly.

I meant pretty much what I said, I think that Rick Perry is too religious to be president, it causes him to have to much sympathy/empathy for religious groups, and that may sound stupid to most people, but in my opinion, we a need a president who is as neutral as possible.
