@TrainiacProductions Crazy grade huh? If you could see the whole stretch of track right here it goes up then down then up then down...typical Georgia topography, very hilly area...I didn't even realize it myself that the tracks did so many ups and downs till I moved around and shot some other spots recently. The East/West line isn't like that, just curvy. Thank you for the comment as well!
@DJGENEX71 Sure sounds like a great kind of environment to railfan in, then, always getting trains having to go into heavy throttle a lot then! Your telephoto shots really show off the grades !
@TrainiacProductions it is, there's a lot of cool spots you can jump out, record a train then move to another spot...or like I do and go to the secluded spot in Mableton where nobody bothers you (for the most part)...
Everything about this vid was great Gene! The lead unit had a sweet horn, the 70MAC and it's heritage paint and the glow of that sweet evening sunlight. Awesome buddy!
@pahogger Thank you my friend! I almost went home before this train, I drove from Mableton to Austell to look at the signals and this guy was sitting just South of Whittaker yard waiting...heard them on the radio talking to dispatch and decided to wait for them. Too bad they didn't pick up some speed, I hate watching them creep by like this! LOL!
Nice vid, good spot catching that train! Good k3 horn, MAC looks good in their, that train is always long with es44ac always in the rear lol love when they do that.
Epic video and great location! That looked like a crazy grade they had to tackle back there. Sweet SD70MAC too that 710 sounded awesome!
