  • One of the best, this is what separates The Wailers from any other Reggae music

  • this sucha good album to chill to, smoke to, skate to

  • how do we know this isnt part of the master brainwashing scheme. best to just lock ourselfs in the house and get high, wait that might be the plan to.....?

  • @littlebit31985 you sound paranoid, dont smoke bad shtufffff

  • anyone want to explain what the lyrics are about?

  • @moedemama Because there is specific meaning behind all the stories we heard as children and they saw it as brainwashing because life is not how they make it in a storybook. They believed simply in truth

  • @moedemama It is simply about brainwashing.

Psychological warfare that has been persistent and unrelenting for centuries. An operation which has reached surgical precision today.

It is simply tricks disguised as treats for gullible idiots.

And in it's purest for is THE Weapon of Mass Destruction.

    Don't believe me?

Try asking one of your friends to turn off their TV sets for 1 month, 1 week, or even 1 day. A very violent response is what you'll get.

Why? It's just the "Poor's Brainwashing"

  • @BedStuyBro **purest FORM**

    correction :D

  • Reminds me of my high school days getting Stoned in wood shop :]

Thought it was bob singing lead...

  • This is "The Wailers" - Bunny Livingston (Wailer) singing lead

  • bob marley is part of the wailers...

  • Love U brother

  • there is a spirit in this song ...

i cant tell you aboutthis , but i feel it.the spirit

  • bob marley-king of my heart...

  • The narrow standards of beauty has taken over an industry....essentially starving off true talent, espically in the USA.

  • here is bunny wailer at the lead vocals

  • yes record at the black art!

  • recorded at the black ark ????? or???

  • yes, i dont like that they dindt stay as The Wailers. its like you'd listen to Curt Cobain and Nirvana instead of listening to Nirvana...

    great one

  • yea i know what you mean but w/e thats media controll for you

  • One of the all-time Wailers songs. Yes, I write Wailers, before the record label comes around and wants to make one guy the star. It becomes Him AND the Wailers. One group becomes two groups. Marketing takes power to take the on guy with the more "exotic" looks, the lighter skin, the more European features to conquer the Western world. Talented he is yes, but so are the "dark" guys in the band. It's just the old brainwashing.... Sing it, Bunny!

  • I completely agree. Peter Tosh is my absolute favourite. But they chose to market Bob because 20th century and 21st century marketing techniques says choose the "least fearful" black person to market aka the fair skin artiste.....So sad!!!! They all had talent but were not given the same opportunity. Isn't it the same with Shaggy, Beyonce and Rihanna now etc..... Popular but mediocre artistes themselves.

  • There's a simplicity and straightforward delivery to Tosh's lyrics, which are blunt and honest, just like Tosh himself. I'm tired of trying to explain to Western audiences the racist/racial reality behind making Bob THE guy. There's this one African-American singer, Leela James, and on her first album, on a big label, the cover shot was taken of her face posed in a way to make her nose look smaller, so she looked "whiter." She's now on a small label, she was shot straight on, no "white" posing.

  • Even with Rihanna, her first album cover had her looking as she really does, broad nose and all, but on her second album, she has this curious bit of hair going right across her nose. Most white and/or ignorant people will not catch on that, but it's something American companies have done to appease white people and their notion of European beauty. In the 80s, for "black" R&B compilations, there wouldn't be a black face in sight -- just a white couple on a beach or something.
