A pair of pileated woodpeckers have taken up residence in our yard. They have a keen interest in all the back-lane hydro poles. Must seam like a smorgasbord to them!

As long as they stick with the hydro poles, you'll be fine. It's when they find an interest in your house that you need to worry ;)

I'm amazed the feeder held up to the weight of him! That's very bold, mine would never come close to my feeder that way. Love it, thanks for sharing!

I'm glad you liked it. When they take off from the feeder, I'm always afraid the force is going to break the hanger.... So far I'be been lucky ;) I just wish they'd stay on the feeder and not try to much on our wood siding!
