  • access sweating can be caused by working your kidneys.

  • thankyou for making this video! have you ever heard of crystal body deodorant?

  • i was just wondering when making the deodorant, if large batches could be stored in the freezer for a longer period of time or if it is best to make them as you need them...thanks!!

  • @neshielin You can definitely store them. I usually keep mine in the fridge for months at a time. I have never freezed any.

  • if you want to get to the actual making of the deodorant skip to 4:00

  • @MultiAwesomeGirls Hey thanks! I thought I annotated it before. It's done now :-)

  • what is the part to part ratio in this recipe???

  • @Grimmnir65 It's in the description box.

  • where do you buy the sea fresh oil??

  • @LetiziaPalermo25 camdengrey(dot)com

  • how did you mealt the coco butter

  • @samsonedwards I put it in the microwave.

  • Hi...Itried this and i need to know if u have to keep in the fridge all the time? I put it in fridge overnite after i made it and it was great..I kept it out and the next day it was like a liquid again

  • @87cookie8 I only put mine in for a few minutes right after I make it. I never have to refrigerate it after that and it stays rock hard. Are you using "pure" cocoa butter? That would make a difference.

  • Is it possible to make this deodorant with only cocoa butter, corn starch, baking soda vitamin E oil and fragrance oil? Will the results be the same. Thank you. Great video.

  • @marjs29 You're going to need some kind of essential oil that fights bacteria to prevent odor. It doesn't have to be tea tree oil but it has to be able to fight bacteria. You can google "essential oils that fight bacteria" to get a list of options.

  • Thx so much :-D

  • I'm having problems finding the sea fresh fragrance oil. Can this ingredient be substituted or what? Thx and God bless :-D

  • @MsStaceybland I ordered the sea fresh fragrance from camdengrey(dot)com. Yes, you can substitute it with the essential oil of your choice. I recently purchased some fragrance oils from Michael's Craft Store so you can check them out too.

  • Thx :-D can't wait to try it :-D

  • Thx for posting this :-D Can't wait to try it :-D Are there any changes ur recipe since you posted this vid?

  • @MsStaceybland The only change is that I add about 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil to make the finished product softer. Cocoa butter makes it VERY hard and I don't like to have to rub it on hard b/c I have sensitive skin. You could probably use shea butter since it's soft too. I hope that helps.

  • yes it's really easy to do but where i can find coco butter in morocco please meet me

  • @rankazoutika You should be able to find pure cocoa butter at any store including the grocery store in the section where the lotion is. Or you can just order it online.

  • how about how much cocoa butter?????

  • Did I miss the amount of baking soda and cornstatch??????

  • @87cookie8 All of the measurements are in the description box.

  • Great video! I just made and started using the recipe with coconut oil but I will have to try substituting for cocoa butter next time because that sounds good. I haven't had cocoa butter for a while but I remember the lovely smell. I haven't bothered yet with adding essential oils but I may give that a go too. Mostly I prefer low scent deodorants so they don't clash with anything else I'm wearing. Homemade deodorants like this might be the answer for my super sensitive underarms. Cheers!

  • @lumabi25 This was definitely the answer to my excessive sweating. I'm glad that yours is working too. I love using the cocoa butter but it makes the deodorant very hard. I recently added some coconut oil to my batch to make it a little softer and it's great. Thanks for watching!

  • Hey! I hope all is well with you. I wondered about where you purchased the sea fresh oil. Thank you.

  • @kbd85lw3 I got the fragrance from camdengrey(dot)com. I get the majority of my natural oils and butters from there.

  • Thanks for this video! I linked to it on my blog at Afroniquely You.. as well your skin is gorgeous! Have a video on details?

  • @AfroQueenShae You're very welcome! Thanks for the compliment! Unfortunately, I don't have a video on the full details (skin care regimen) but I do have a video on the homemade tinted moisturizer that I wear. I hope that helps.

  • But I def thought that it would be a better idea to use coco butter. U stole my idea!!! Jk lol

  • @FrozyWozy LOL!

  • Yaayyy so glad I watched this! I watched SPARKWISDOM's vid too and I wondered how she kept it solid. I made it anyway and kept it in the fridge but I left it out n it sure nuf melted lol. I have it in a bowl now.

  • @FrozyWozy My first one "sure nuf melted" too. LOL!!! I think coconut oil is better for the winter. Coconut oil is great but it's hard as heck but you will NOT have to worry about it melting even in the summer. Some people use pure shea butter. I'm gonna try that one next. Good luck and THANKS for watching!

  • @20pearlsNcurls plz post how the Shea butter works as well...Plz & thank u =)...I'm abou to make my own now with the coco butter

  • My skin is very sensitive too, and I'm also shaving my armpits. I've made my own deodorant, but it gave me terrible rash and a lot of pain :( thanks for your formula, I'll try it and tell you about results later :)

  • @osbkids I actually got a rash when I made it for the first time. I figured out that I was using too much baking soda. All of my batches after that have been perfect. I hope yours turned out ok.

  • Thanks!

  • Your so Gourgous and your vid is great help! Thank you

    Peace be with you.

  • @Sallyakerti Thanks!

  • GREAT VIDEO..WILL TRY SOON..ONE ?...WHERE DO YOU PURCHASE YOUR FRAGRANCE OILS??

  • @EmbracingSelf1st I get them from camdengrey(dot)com

  • cool but a lil long to get to the point

  • how long do u leave it in the freezer for?????????

  • @CrimsomGoddess0 I initially put it in there just long enough to solidify. I put the leftovers in a plastic container until I need to refill my deodorant container.

  • Thank you for this information and your time. Blessings to you and yours.

  • @michatoria Thanks so much for watching :o)

  • Thx. This will work well for me, 'cause I have the same problem. Other deodorants do not work appropriately!!

  • @Blessed2BeeAlive I hope this works for you. This has been the best thing ever for me.

  • aproximitly how much is that bar?

  • @PilladaDandose What bar?

  • I am goint to try this today. I've been searcing for a TY vid on deodorant with a consistency like yours. Can't wait to try it...great vid. I've also subbed your channel.

  • @KnottyByNature1 I hope yours turned out to your liking. Thanks so much for watching AND for subbing :o)

  • @20pearlsNcurls It turned out really good. I'll probably use 1/2 of the baking soda next time...my arms are super sensitive but I love it and it's been working like magic in the humid Midwest. I even asked my hubby to smell my pits and he said, "what, I don't smell anything." That's the point - lingol. TMA I know. So glad I came across your vid.

  • @misslittledj where would you buy th raw shea butter from ? :)

  • where did you get your essential oils from

  • @hotshot24ish I get them fro GNC or from Whole Foods. Some grocery stores carry them too in the organic/natural section.

  • Better than store bought but the aluminum is not the only reason for breast cancer. Using any deodorant you're clogging up your glands which are trying to detoxify your body so you're forcing toxins to stay in your body (in your glands). The woman's breast is sensitive to this. Careful ladies. We were meant to sweat! I understand maybe you don't want to sweat in public, then you better clean that crap off and sweat your butt off often in private! All the best.

  • Thanks so much for this video! I'll definitely be trying this soon! Loving your natural recipes!

  • @Selenenaturalcurls You're very welcome! Let me know how yours turn out.

  • What was the amount of baking soda, corn starch and cocoa butter in your mixture?

  • @mmorrellwilson Hey there! I have all of the measurements listed in the description box. Thanks for watching!

  • Coco butter* (i spelled it wrong)

  • I tried it today and I don't sweat anymore and instead of using coconut oil or coconut butter I used raw Shea butter :)

  • @misslittledj Good for you! Glad it turned out well. I'm actually going to use shea butter when I make my next batch. I hope I like it as much as my current one.

  • I'm going to do this tomorrow

  • @misslittledj That's great! Let me know how it turns out for you.

  • AAAAAWWWWWsome!! I'm going to do this this weekend, but I wanted to know where you go the container you used for the deodorant.I hope you didn't already answer this question. LOL Thank you for the tip. and I hope you do the toothpaste tutorial

  • @naturalhairful THANKS! I actually used an old deodorant container that I already had. You'll have to be careful because the base in some containers have holes so you'll need to let your mixture get thick before you pack it inside. Please let me know how yours turn out.

  • Thanks for this video! I tried a recipe from naturallycurly and I liked it so I'm going to definitely give your recipe a try. I love the smell of lemons so I'll use that and hopefully my local health store has that seafresh oil so I can give that a try as well.

  • @dsugartwist You're very welcome! I also use lemon essential oil and it smells soooo good. LOL! I got my seafresh oil from camdengrey(dot)com so I'm not sure if you can find it at the health store. Another place I get "inexpensive" fragrance oils from is Hobby Lobby or any other craft/soap or lotion making store. Thanks for watching!

  • Hi I am going to try your homemade deo. I too have been looking for a natural deoderant I did not like tom's deoderant either and I don't like the cystal that the muslims make either I will let you know how I made out with it.

  • @flyinggeese50 That crystal was horrible! LOL!!! It had a funky smell prior to me using it and I felt self-conscious all day. This has been working great for me so I hope you'll like it too. I'm looking for to hearing your results. Thanks for watching!

  • Do you get an oily stain in the armpit of clothing? (Please pardon the question if someone already asked it).

  • @honey2460 Hey sis! That's actually a great question. But no, I haven't had any oil staining and I have been using homemade deodorant since last summer. My guess is that the cocoa butter is absorbed into my skin. It's no different then you putting cocoa butter on any other part of your body and not getting oil stains. Another thing to keep in mind is that I used a good bit of cornstarch too. Now I USED to get stains in the armpit area when I commercial deodorants.

  • Would you mind posting or emailing the measurements I really want to try this.. Tom's DOESN'T work for ME! :-) ..... do you make your own toothpaste. We make our own but I am looking for recipes that taste better than what we've come up with. Thanks.. Bless you & thanks for sharing....

  • @TREIMUSIC You're very welcome! I actually have the measurements listed in the description box. Yes, I make my own toothpaste too. I just use vegetable glycerine, peppermint essential oil, baking soda and clove oil. It taste pretty good as long as you add enough peppermint. I'm gonna try spearmint the next time. Thanks for watching!

  • It's called peri-menopausal.

  • @iHealthy2010 Don't push me "over the hill" too soon. LOL!!! I thought that too at first, but I know it's not because I have none of the symptoms and it has been confirmed by my doctor. I don't get "hot flashes or night sweats" just occasional sweat, which has stopped since I've been using my own deodorant. Thanks for watching!

  • lovely! i have tried it a couple of times before, i haven't got the ratios right yet but i will try again soon! :) thanks for the video, will use your recipe!

  • @louloumatou Thanks! Yeah, I had to play with the ratios too but this has been the best one for me. The good thing is that you can always easily make adjustments to it without throwing the whole batch out. Well, unless if you use too much tea tree oil. Ain't no gettin around that stuff. LOL!!! Let me know how yours turn out.

  • @20pearlsNcurls if i make a batch, i will record it! thanks again! :)

  • WOW, you are like sooo in my thoughts. I've been strongly considering using a natural deodorant because of the aluminum that is used in it. yet, I was wondering if it would be just as effective. Now I KNOW for sure. Thanks soo much. I'm gonna try it this week. awesome vid sis! you always speak and explain so well :)

I just found some empty deodorant containers online too. yay

can I use any kind of essential oil?

  • @Toliahli See....... I told you that GREAT minds think alike. LOL!!! This is VERY effective! I work out and I'm very active and sweat easily and this mixture keeps me fresh all day AND night. You need to use an essential oil that fights bacteria in order to prevent odor. The more drops you use the greater chance at preventing odor. Keep in mind that when using an oil as stinky as tea tree oil, it WILL affect the overall smell of your product. That's why I used the sea fresh fragrance.

  • @20pearlsNcurls:::oooh, ok, i see. So now im gonna try and pick up orange smelling essential oil. im so GLAD that it really works, especially since I LOOOVE the smell of natural cocoa butter. Palmers cocoa butter and pure cocoa butter is the only moisturizers I really use. so much I get them as gifts often on the holidays from fam and friends. Thanks again for sharing this, Im excited to use it this week. yay. bless you

  • @Toliahli Orange oil works great! I have used that and also lemon oil (not together). The batch that I made for the winter, I used coconut oil instead of cocoa butter and that mixed with lemon oil smelled like heaven. LOL!!! I'm looking forward to hearing your results. You should do a response video.

  • @20pearlsNcurls:::sounds great... and I will do it. this week :)

  • I definitely will try this!!! Saving to favorites :)

  • @CityChicWedding THANKS CHICA!

  • I make my own also and I love it. have u ever read the deoderant container? "do not use if u have kidney disease" wth that's crazy.

thanks for sharing how u make yours

  • @KidneyGirl91 That IS crazy! I never noticed it on there. GLAD I stopped using them. Their horrible ingredients are probably somehow "linked" to kidney disease....... Thanks for watching!

  • You look fantastic girl! I need to try this but I am sooo lazy right now! LOL. But when the summer vacation starts. . . oh yeah!

  • @thecreativelady Thank you! You're gonna LOVE it! It's soooo easy to make too. Less than 5 minutes!

  • Thx so much for sharing this....this will be on my "to do" list for this weekend. Where did you purchase the deodorant container?

  • @shana931 You're welcome! I just washed and used the old deodorant containers that I previously had. Let me know how yours turn out.
