  • The background music is from Ichi rittoru no namida, isn't it?? I love that drama! Hope you are having a great time there :]

  • How are you enjoying Japan so far? How is the language barrier? I'm going to be going there next year with rotary, I'm really excited but also really nervous. :3

  • I think I'm gonna go to Japan for my Senior year of highschool too :3 Good thing I have 2 more years to learn the language. I'm still in basic language @.@

  • TT_TT I WANNA GO TO JAPAN SO BAD..... I was supposed to go with Rotary but I don't think I can afford it...

  • @BriexGore Rotary really isn't that expensive >__>

I only paid for plane ticket and spending money. Everything else is given to me.

  • @TeaforBunny Well not only can i not afford it but i just found out that i missed the deadline also >.<;

  • I was in Japan d2580 tokyo, 2007-2008... it was awesome, its like first love, you cant get over it :D I hated my high school tho.. It wasnt co-ed, and everyone was screaming :D

  • Someone has probably already asked this, but what was the cost? And is there any chance for financial aid? I'm in the lower middle class, but I've had my heart set on this for years. I can pull some strings to take care of the cost, but I was just wondering if there are any opportunities for financial aid.

  • @randomclam898889 I went over the cost in the video.

But really the bare minimum you pay (no trips and no spending money) is your way there and back. Rotary pays the rest.

  • @randomclam898889 Other than doing your own fund raising I don't think there is financial aid. But you can go to their website and see! I did street dancing to raise money. But really the only thing I paid for was my plane ticket (~$2500) and spending money.

  • @TeaforBunny So legit. But wouldn't I potentially compromise my GPA and class rank?

  • Wow! I like the music in the background, you seem like a princess. Thanks for the first hand info and stuff, I plan to do the same thing when I am 18 and I think these videos will help me out :D I can't wait to see more!

  • OMG! Rillakuma~!

  • How much money did you pay to go? Btw you are so calm and relaxed, it's nice to see people who are like that in their videos. Oh and how many people get accepted to Japan through rotary a year? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks! Stay well!

  • I'm going next year too :) i'm going to yokohama:) I leave in late august. Is it similar for you...I think school starts august 29th

  • I am planting to join the exchange program to Japan too, because this is the last chace for me to join it,I hope I could join it and being a exchange student at the coming march :( I love japan so much:( I am waiting for your video about your high school life,I like watching this kids of video,it makes me know more about their school life :)

  • Japan is Epic! I went with rotary in 2008 to Kanagawa, being anywhere in the Kanto region (like Saitama) is awesome. All the best in Japan!

  • @thesupergaijin

Hey! Watching you video has me super pumped for going! How old were you when you went to Japan? I was kind of bummed when i got Saitama only because people were saying "Kanto is so over rated, you should come south!" But I'm so glad I'm going to be in Kanto! Tokyo trips on the weekend :D

    Thank you so much!

  • I am also going to Japan next year with RYE!

I'll be in the Tochigi prefecture which is not very far from Saitama~

  • Is your rotary still letting you go to Japan? My rotary won't let me. They are sending me elsewhere.

  • @KateinJapan101 I have asked them about it because I know of so many people who can't go now and I was getting very worried. But they have not heard anything from my Japan district about canceling the exchange. Just curious, were you told which prefecture you were going to?

  • @TeaforBunny they were cancelled because of the quakes n stuff right?

  • HAHAHAHAHA! that was so cheery and upbeat it make my cheeks hurt! xD

  • @Raidori17 :D

  • @TeaforBunny How do I get hooked up with this? I wouldn't mind being an exchange student. College students can do it too right?

  • @Raidori17 Rotary only does this kind of exchange for youth ages 15-19, I believe. But if you wanted to look at some international universities in Japan to do a year exchange with them, that is also a great idea. I was actually looking at ICU, TIU and AIU for exchanges, just in case I wasn't accepted into Rotary.

I'm sure that if you ask at your college about sister schools, or really any school you'd like to study abroad in, about exchange programmes like this, they will have them :)

  • @TeaforBunny Cool thanks for the info. And i'm 19 i just put 21 or something in my profile so i could watch any video on youtube.

  • OK SO WERE WONDERING WHAT YOU WERE ON WHEN YOU CHOSE THAT BG MUSIC no offense dude

good luck in Japan! it'll be fun! maybe ! and what's that in the BG?? you're not supposed to have that rilakkuma shit till you get here man what's up with you

and were serious about that BG music, it exacerbates your overly cheery attitude into People-Want-To-Throttle-You levels.

OR MAYBE ITS JUST THAT I LIVE IN YOUR FANTASY AND IT AINT SPARKLING MY SADISTIC HEART WANTS TO RUIN IT FOR YOU

    aw yeah man

  • @Sarisusan

    Yay first negative comment :D

Currently you are the only person wondering about the bg music lol

It is from the OST of "1リットルの涙".

Also, I won the Rilakkuma stuff in a UFO catcher when I was in Japan before.

And I'm overly cheery because it was scripted and I was excited that I was accepted. :D (Please refer to the description box)

    Come at me bro.

  • what is your rotary club name???

  • @NinnaInJapan You mean the number?

  • @TeaforBunny no I mean your club. it's name.

  • @NinnaInJapan haha;; I don't think I know, I didn't know it had a name. What is yours?

  • @TeaforBunny

Well, it is just because I know a guy that live in saitama, and i read that you will go on a school in Urawa-ku.. he goes on that school, so I just wanted to hear if you are going to his rotary club.

Well, I live near Osaka.. :D haha D2640! Tokyo is a great place too, have already been there, but I like Osaka better. People are nice and there are not that many gaijin's in Osaka :D haha

  • @NinnaInJapan Oh! I see. I haven't been told which city in Saitama I will be staying in. But once I know I will tell you!

Also are you the Ninna in TwilightsSerenity videos??

  • @TeaforBunny

    hahaha, yes I am

  • Hey I am going to Japan through rotary next year also! I am heading to Sakai! That's so exciting! You are the first person I have heard that is also going to Japan through the rotary.

  • @alaina6 YEEEAH! you are going to my district :D

  • Congratulations. Have fun. :)

  • @andagii Thank you :) I hope you stick around to watch!

  • @TeaforBunny Wish for those who are in Japan to be safe. A huge earthquake and tsunami hit them. ):

  • That's fantastic news! Congratulations :D

Saitama seems like a nice place: close to Tokyo, but not in Tokyo.

I am in Sapporo until the end of September ^-^

I hope your preparation is going well!

    Mattias

  • @tias90 yes that is what i like a lot about Saitama :)

I would LOVE to be in Sapporo! I hope you are enjoying your stay!

(I'm at school right now but when I go home I'll watch your videos! I'm so excited :) )

  • @TeaforBunny Thank you for the response!

I am enjoying my stay in Sapporo. Due to my studies I haven't been able to travel a lot, but things have worked out well for me here. I was thinking of choosing Keio University when I was applying for my scholarship, but I am glad that I chose Hokkaido University.

Looking forward to your review of my humble videos :D

    Mattias

  • Congratulations. I hope you`ll enjoy your time in Japan.

  • how did you aply for the Rotary Youth Exchange?

  • @MsILOVEmilk I applied through my local club. If you go to the Rotary website you can see the club finder and just type in your country/area and you will be given a number to call and you can ask them about it. :) I hope this helps!

  • @TeaforBunny omg yes i tried like five time to ask bloger or vloger the never responed can you send my a like to the wedsite so i dont go to the rong place if not its ok thank you tho :)

  • @MsILOVEmilk Sure :) I'll message it to you!

  • @StoChiiik So lucky!!! You should post some videos about your exchange to ! I would love to see them! :) How long will you be staying in Saitama?

  • @TeaforBunny i don't think i'll do video blogs because i'm bad with cameras and to lazy to do them xD

but i will upload videos i take while over there :)

i'll be staying for a year because my school is in Saitama :) its un Urawa-ku Saitama-shi :D

  • @StoChiiik That's so exciting! I'm not sure which city I'll be staying in yet.

And I'm excited for your videos!! :)

  • lol teaforbunny?... XD

  • @Zovlanov Yes? That is my username. I don't want to use my real name for privacy reasons.

  • @TeaforBunny y..., i know..., me too.

but you choose a very cute, sweety, tiny username...

it just reminds me with powerpuffgirls... XD sorry...

    enjoy the okonomiyaki girl!

  • Congrats! I'll be keeping an eye out for your vlogs then! I've been looking for ways to stay in Japan longer than just a few weeks and this may be the solution for me! I've never heard of this organization before, so I'll be sure to check it out (although I just barely make the cut-off age... ^_^;;;)

  • @RankoAnime Thanks :)

I know I just barely made the cut off age too;;;; I hope all goes well !

  • Was this video scripted? You speak like you're narrating. I mean, its not bad or anything, but I just thought maybe you should speak more naturally, with a few ums and ahs....so it seems more 'vlog like'.

Gosh im bad at explaining. But congratulations and make sure you vlog when you get to japan!!!!! ^^

  • @ChuppahCrunch

You know what? It was. And when I watched it myself I was thinking "This is not me!"

But when I was recording without any ideas of where to start, I was all over the place and it was just awful. I think from now on I'll just have little jot notes instead of full on scripts so that it sounds more vlog-like and natural. But thanks for pointing that out, I'm glad you did because I'm still a noob at this whole vlogging thing so it's nice to have some constructive criticism ♪( ´▽`)

  • Hello,

I'm going to Japan in August with Rotary too!!!! I'm so excited. I'm video blogging as well XD

  • That is so exciting, congratulations!

I'm jealous! >< lol definitely keep up the vlogs!

  • @nagisu Thanks!

  • wow really cute!

  • 良い時を過ごされるよう願っております。

    ようこそ、日本へ♪

  • wow that is so exciting, congrats!!

  • that is amazing! congratulations! i will be watching for your upcoming vlogs!! i cant wait to see how your adventure goes! ^_^

  • @XXXchiisanahimeXXX

    Thanks :D

I know I won't be uploading any Japan Vlogs soon (unless I get enough questions for a Q&A) but please look out for them :)
