  • Peace Sayf,Great jewels. Scientific Street Fighting Principles.

  • @ALLAHIFATHERSUPREME Peace Aki! Welcome! Please keep in mind that I ask everyone to avoid situations. I have been in some situations in my early years and I do not claim much but a desire to help people stay safe. I take what I Post very seriously and hope our egos never give us a false sense of security that robs our family of our company. I mean that. Enjoy the videos, and I hope you never have to use them. Sayf

  • @TheUmmahFightCamp Peace, indeed, I will that as well. As the best fight is the one you can avoid or resolve without getting physical. Your methods do strike in the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do method..simplicity, effectiveness, practicality, flexibility and speed..as if it's simple and not complicated it gets off faster and you don't spend time trying to look fancy. I have been enjoying the videos, that's why I subscribed to the page. Keep teaching Brother. Thank you,Peace!

  • @ALLAHIFATHERSUPREME Before I tend to the day to day, I try to answer the comments and I want to say a bit here about my methods: I started in boxing at 9 and karate at 12 (I am now 50 so that tells you about the length of time I have been training). I loved the style of boxing I used in the gym and the manner that I use to spar karate in. That did not change when I had knives and bottles used against me, but it did alter my thinking and training. I had people trying 2 pull

  • @ALLAHIFATHERSUPREME 2) me off balance and sling me into windows and rose bushes (it is funny now, but those thorns are no joke). The boxing did not prepare me for that nor did the way that I had trained at that time in karate. My punches did not have the same effect when the adrenaline was flowing or if a person had been drinking. Those situations forced me to make a choice between stylish and affective. I chose the later. To some who are in denial, my methods seem crude

  • @TheUmmahFightCamp 3) to them, I say, "I hope you never find out the reality of it all". I look at all styles and find flaws, but most have a bit of useful material. I have been told that I should create and name a style of my own, but I have seen too much of that where every one wants to be a master. I am a life long student who passes on what I have learned so far.

  • @TheUmmahFightCamp ummah, i am a natural righty but because of slight injury i started off boxing in the lefty position. i had my first sparing session which went ok. should i stay or switch back.

  • @TM789SP2 By "leftie" I assume you mean with your right hand in front :-). If you did "ok" I would work from that position for a bit because it gives you an advantage that most don't, and wont know how to conquer. Understand that any style can be done from both leads and should be when possible. Hope that helps and answers your question. Also, "Ummah" means community in Arabic. I consider my viewers part of it, Muslim or not. U can call me Sayf. Be well.

  • @TheUmmahFightCamp Much respect Sayf. Peace Blackman!

  • I hate to be the one to disagree all the time. I'm sure it seems that way, but allow me to preface by saying that Sayf Carman makes a strong argument on why one should fight power side forward. However, I question one's ability to deliver maximum punching power that way. Think about it, when you throw a ball, do you throw power side forward? No, you throw from your rear leg (planted). This is how boxers 'sit in' punches. I look forward to your responses! Peace!

  • @MMAHotwire Whilst I have legit credits that are not shabby, I have always said that MY experience comes from the street. That is the one arena that has no tolerance for tradition. now that I said that, let me make my points: 1) The FIRST strike should be the fastest and that would usually be the front hand! 2) If the fastest strike is usually the front hand and someone fights power side forward, The first punch may not be as strong as coming from the back, but it is stronger than

  • @MMAHotwire 2) Than if the WEAKER hand is in front! 3) Baseball and Boxing in the ring allow for tradition since your life does not generally depend on challenging it! 4) Most people today have never developed their lead hand, so the jab is more like a slap. 5) A steady of such fighters as Marvin Hagler and others show that when a natural righthander fights southpaw, the jab and lead hook are more devastating. 6) Baseball mechanics have never been mistaken for self-defense?

  • @MMAHotwire 3) 7) Proper generation of power does not only come from the rear leg being planted. If that was the case, the left hook would not be the knockout blow it often is! 8) As I started boxing at 9 and still at 50 spar at a high level, I am aware that some fighters "sit on " their punches. For everyone of them, there are 5 that tko them cause they are not mobile enough from loading up on every punch.

  • @TheUmmahFightCamp Points humbly taken. So, what does that mean for me, a lowly student of the striking game (trust, I can bang when I have to), who naturally throws from an orthodox stance (I'm right-handed)? My "power" hand (right hand) is to the rear. Should I switch to south paw and practice from that position as well?

  • @MMAHotwire Yes, Switching south paw even if it never becomes second nature, will provide you with: 1) A harder jab up front. 2) A harder hook up front. 3) Confusion for your opponent. 4) Strong kicks from the front side. You are btw, not a "lowly student". My ego is much in check. I am only attempting to help with info that if just tried will help those who want to improve. I seek no glory from their success.

  • I AGREE WITH THIS DUDE,I CARRY MY STRENGTH UP FRONT,ITZ ALWAYS WORKED FOR ME.

  • @MrBobeeto Welcome!!! Good to know you agree. Train hard/Train smart, Sayf

  • Aah, man! That's funny...well I guess only because you survived and it made you stronger and all. But whoa, good thing it was your arms and not your head that caught those punches...

  • @miskokinoo Yeah Dude! Ya know, i want to just give ya a heads up: Some people will think perhaps that I am a know it all, but I just get bent out of shape when the "fly by night club" dominates the air waves. Just like the whole "ground n pound" thing. Jeez, I did that stuff when I was 12 and I am sure you saw it done at least once in school by a bully! Yet, It is "new". What the.......

  • @TheUmmahFightCamp

"Fly by night club"!! haha! love this one! but yeah, I understand. As for the "new and improved"...well, yeah exactly, wth!! lol!

  • ...Also, having the shortest distance to travel to hit the target with the strongest can surprise the opponent, I'd say; surprise and hurt...Thanks!

  • Well, Sayf, this carrying the power side in the front makes alot of sense to me. I've been practicin this, actually, for a few years and I love it. I do change stance while sparring just to try to kinda throw my "spartner" off a little but I prefer my strong side in the front. Glad you brought it up. I don't have real fight experience - or very little anyway - and so I'm glad to hear this from you who has much real fighting experience with the srong side in the front...

  • @miskokinoo I do want to say I did not pick the fights I had lol!!!! I always tried to avoid them cause I had to overcome so much. No one close to my height was crazy enough to step in front of me. I want to tell you something that I did not say in videos: Some times I would get blood clots on my arms from blocking the bare knuckle punches thrown at my head. Today, I am glad I was forced to learn things, but jeez, being even 5'10 would have been nice.
