  • @rustycage0108... I to have liked this song since it came out. I had my own brush with mortality last November. Now when I hear this song it comforts me to think maybe we are still around on some level. P.S. I cry over the dumbest things now to! Maybe its the final rite of passage into being a man.

  • My stepdad's private airplane went missing in 2003. After 2 months of searching, his aircraft was found at the bottom of Kentucky lake. He had crashed just after takeoff, in part due to a sudden thunderstorm. The heartache of this tragedy was almost unbearable. One day I turned on the radio and this song started playing. I had never heard it before and it was quite a few years old, I think. It was like my (step)dad had sent me this song to tell me and my mom that he is still with us in spirit...

  • How strong is faith? I was sitting in my room in 1991 crying because my dear froiend had just died in a brutal car accident, every night I would turn the radilo on and talk to him and ask God, "why" and one night, in between my tears, this song played on the radio and I listened to the words as if God was talking directly to me. Faith is God. Thanks, Escape Club for using the talent God gave you to relay his message. R.I.P. g.j.d.1/31/91

  • I saw the video of this song on television one day while I was still attending College, in the mid 90s. When my father passed away with type 2 diabetes in 2003, this was the song that I listened to. I still listen to it today. It brings me comfort and peace, knowing that even though my father is no longer with me, I know he will always be with me in spirit. I just wanted to say thank you so much for this beautiful song. Praise the Lord for such a wonderful gift that he blessed you with.

  • one of my all time favorite songs...reminds me of my grandmother...

  • This is the song of my childhood. My childhood first love, tears, sitting in the dark, thinking, smoking first cigarette, friends that are never the same, the feeling of being a kid that will never come back up up until I listen to this song. There has never been a song that could turn me back in time as much as this one. Thank you The Escape Club, for helping me to escape to the years where I was a kid, where the pureness of the feelings and everything is so new, so strong and so amazing.

  • Wow! Gandang Song.......

  • Wow, this great song brings me back to the best memory of the time in my life back in 1999. I was laying there fairly hungover on the bed when suddenly I could feel the bad fight back and 4th between the lousy md 20/20(grape mad dog)wine and the two 5/500 vicodin. Thats when my Opiate tolerance was nice and low. I also felt "like a hug from God feeling" as I was listening to this song. The rest is history and I'm still "married 2 Opiates 4 life". NEVER will I drink again UGGHH!!,Opium4themasses

  • Such a beautiful song. I recently lost my father, and was thinking about him while driving home from meeting with his accountant, and was going through radio channels, and this song was playing on the station that I stopped at. It made me cry, but also made me feel better, if that makes any sense. I had never heard this song before, knew the band primarily from Wild Wild West, but this song is truly a masterpiece. Thank you Escape Club for such an incredible and moving song. Fan forever.

Best of luck to you and your family.

My dad had colon cancer but they caught it in time and he now has a colostomy (spelling) bag. I would love to send a song your way because I know how I would feel in your place. • top 3 in my life, actually.

  • since 1991, this song is my favour all my life.

  • ely idol!!!!

  • Love this song! Doesn't seem like it was all that long ago when it came out.

  • Beautiful, timeless-with a peaceful background accompaniment that remains throughout, supporting simple words, a poem, a letter from the heart. What a humbling gift it must be for a song-writer to be able to move the hearts of so many, who in listening feel a closeness to those they love- so dearly?Thank you to the song-writer(s) Humbly, listening to all the posts here? It's as though love overcomes death; that love can never come to an end. Just a song? A gift given you to bring hope & light.

  • We assume why would anyone waste their time with us. We're just animals and we die and that's that. But we're missing one thing. What if it becomes easy to record the dead? We only assume that it's hard because of what we know and our current limitations. But in the future these same restrictions might not apply. If it's easy enough then they may simply record the dead because they like to. Hard for us to imagine, but flight was hard to imagine at one time too.

  • If time travel is ever possible and we changed the past, whether or not the past can actually be changed, I'm certain that somebody would have went into the past and recorded the dead for the exact reason we all hurt when someone passes. Just because we're not aware of the dead being recorded doesn't mean that it's not the case. There're lots of things we're unaware of.

Maybe when we die we find ourselves on a harddrive 1 billions years in the future. Who knows.

  • It is hard to lose someone in the springtime as everything in nature is coming back to life. My loss was on 5-3-11. Thank you Escape Club for giving this song to those who are mourning a loss. It certainly stirs the emotional part of my soul.

  • Ever since I first heard this song many years ago I have loved it. This song gives me hope that we all will be rejoined with our loved ones again.

  • I first heard this song driving home one night, and I literally had to pull off the road to weep. I have had much death and tragedy in my life - my father, my brother, an uncle - all within a 9 month period as a child. I posted this song to my FB on the 30th anniversary of my brother's death today. Thanks for this song, it always makes me cry.

  • "I may have died but I've gone nowhere, just think of me...and I'll be there.."

  • listening to this song reminds me of my daughter Allyssa, she was 5 when she died 2 years ago... but i always believe that she never left me...she visits me in my dreams and asks if i could tie her hair. The first time i dreamed of her after she died, she said, "mama, I love you" and then she kissed me..it felt so real though. Allyssa darling, mama loves you too...very much.

  • I'm sorry but I was trying to find videos of a club I went to called The Escape and this came up. It means a lot to me after listening to the lyrics as I've lost eight friends in the last ten years. Things happen for a reason x

  • I miss you baby. You will always be with me.

  • miss you mama!!

  • 16 months ago my youngest son passed away. He was only 18 days old. Not long after he passed someone told me to listen to this song. So I looked it up and as soon as I heard it I cried. I burnt it onto a CD and when im alone in my car I play it over and over again. It helps me knowing my little angel is in heaven watching over me. And I know he has died...but has gone nowhere. Knowing that helps me alot. I miss him more and more everyday. Mommy loves you little Caterpillar.

  • @sammiharper In Budhism, I learned that eventhough a child might die an infant, but his/her soul is of an adult. I truly believe this cause my son understands everything. One day, I asked my husband is he thought Tyson loved me. The next day, I was at the table & my little nephew (who's been playing games) just came up to me & said "auntie, watch baby Tyson's video. But don't cry ok, he loves you." My nephew has never met my baby.

  • @sammiharper Another time, I sat thinking to myself if only I could hold my baby & kiss him. About 15 mins later, I went up to my room & there was my 4 yr-old nephew standing on my bed, holding a small beenie pillow telling me "look, I'm holding baby Tyson".

  • Although this song came out in the late 80's/ early 90's it's meaning still stands today. I can remember watching the video for the first time right after finding out that my best friend had been killed in an auto accident. I was so torn up that I refused to eat because I thought there was nothing left for me to live for. The words still touch me,bring tears to my eyes, and uplift me all at the same time....

  • In memory of you Belinda, fifteen years youve been gone but never once forgotten.

  • Alot of people like myself are dead....dead inside because of sorrow and grief of a loved one who has passed.

  • A friend of mine just lost her baby cousin yesterday, Down's Syndrome, he just stopped breathing on a family vacation.

  • best song ever best song ever

  • best song ever

  • A friend JUST sent this to me, I've had a bout of depression remembering my beloved fiance' and our two best friends drowning in 1982. They were missing for several days, I had to ID their bodies at the morgue. This song has helped me through all the remembering, helps remind me they're still watching over me..

    Love you Brian,Julie, and Dirk..

  • @mamaserene Sorry to hear that..isnt life full of sorrow sometimes?

  • @tinkodemayo99

Today is an ESPECIALLY sorrow-full day. I don't have television, when I got to work I got the first news of the earthquake/tsunami that hit Japan, I've been watching a few vids and OMG!! My "difficult times" seem so SMALL in comparison....time to light a candle and pray for ALL the survivors, this tragedy has only JUST begun to unfold..

  • always been a fave.

  • My great aunt died yesterday. Im so sad. But this song cheers me up.

  • I love this so much

  • Do NOT laugh, but everytime I hear this song, I think of James & Lily Potter, or Sirius Black, singing it to Harry. (Yes, I am a geek, again don't laugh!)

  • bands today wished they could sing with this much emotion and heart.

  • @averyconnor1 You are right. I don't listen to any bands these days. Wish we're still in the 80's or 90's.

  • what a beautifull song

  • This song truly saved my life. it had been 3 months since my husband died I worked nights had a very long drive home. Everyone knew I wasn't able to sleep so I knew it would look like an accident. I put all my affairs in order. On the faithful night that I planned to drive off the top of the 3 mile bridge This song came on the radio 1st time I ever heard it. By the time I got to the top I just kept driving, new he'd always be there. Almost 20 yrs ago&I still feel him. Song is true love is 4-ever

  • @annieannie64 music truly heals the soul. this song is powerful -- glad you're well.

  • @annieannie64 That literally made my heart break, you are very strong and he must have loved you very much <3 I am so glad this song exists <3

  • @annieannie6Wow that's was a sad story you just told, I'm moved by your story. But the question "is true love is 4-ever" It depend on how you look at love. Sensation of love only arise when memories are being triger and only remain because of memories. What's feeding your love is your memories of him that you can't let go. With pratice of mindfullness you could still have memories of him without any attachment of him and accompany of love for him. Too much love it will eventually turn into pain.

  • @annieannie64 Sorry!! I meant to say a thumbs up!!! I'm glad this song was there for you. = ) And I'm sure your husband is still singing this song to you. = )

  • beautiful. i lost my uncle, who was my father-figure, in 1990. i was 12 years old. when this song started playing frequently on the radio, all i could do is think of him "...i may have died, but i've gone nowhere..."

  • @EmpressAn

Was 1991 for me and this song taught me that the ones we love may die, but the never really leave us they are just one thought away. One sweet memory and they are with us in our hearts they live on.

  • my dad died one year ago today theres not day that goes by i dont think about him .

  • A really great song with a tremendous message. It will always have a special meaning for me.

  • Such a Beautiful song.

  • I love this song. I get choked up every time I hear it.

  • great song=)

  • Love and miss you Daddy<3

  • In 1986 my granparents were brutally murdered. At the time I was 11 years old and it devidtated me knowing that I would never see or hear them again. A few years later, this song was released. I remember that I could hear my Grandmas voice singing the lyrics... and to this day, I still do. I love and miss them so much!

  • I miss you Felix, you're my brother and the only best friend I ever had , this song is for you!!!

  • love love love love this song!!!! hahahah :D

  • You have all my symphaties but PLEASE dont make this as a song for the dead

  • @Raidenthundr umm...sorry dude..the band wrote it for a dead person..the lyrics say "i may have died but i've gone nowhere.." why is it hard to accept as a song to remember the passed love ones? you think this is a break-up song? lol

  • I lost my sister 6 months ago she was 37 and a mother to 9 children, I still can't take onboard that she is gone and puts into perspective all the times I was "too busy" to hang out in the living years.I miss you Rachel and now I know it not just the life led but the legacy left behind

  • I miss my dad.....back in 05 he had a massive heart attack/stroke while he and I were watching Most Haunted on TV and this song is so true to heart......he's not far away.....he has never left my mom and I's side or the house. I have seen his orb floating though the rooms and have had my name get called out in whispers. Items have moved and things get turned on and off. I miss him but I know when i talk to him he is there listening to me.

  • i miss my father.......i know his in heaven now..watching us...love u papa

  • this song is a great song the lyrics really hit the heart especially if you lost someone close to you... i love you mom, Susana Esqueda... 1954-1983.. you are greatly missed..

  • i lost my daughter 2 years ago...i must admit, i have not yet accepted the fact that she is gone...listening to this song just makes me cry.thanks for posting.

  • Right before I graduated from high school in June 1991, I was sad that my dad was no there to see that I had done it. He had passed away when i was almost 5. Almost as if on cue the night before my Grad I heard this on the radio and actually listened to the words. It was like they were meant specifically for me, and it was going to be okay. Amazingly after my mom passed away in 06 this was one of the first songs i heard again!!! Always with me!

  • What a great song! I think everytime I hear that song I think of friends and relatives that are no longer with us. Also, it is the same thing with others remembering those they miss as well. It is so cool how they use the underwater scenes to create a dreamy type of world. I scuba dive and it is so peaceful being underwater and the video captured that idea...nice job!

  • SANDLES, DOLLY, DEXTER AND RESCUE .........I WILL NEVER QUIT MISSING YOU....YOUR BEAUTY CONTINUES TO FLOURISH MY PRESENT WORLD,..

  • THIS SONG IS SO BEAUTIFUL.......SO UNDERATED!!!1
