beautiful music! i plan on reading that book soon too
could you offer me any tips on composing on the classical guitar? how do you do it? sit down with the manuscript paper? come up with a melody and then harmonize it? noodle about ?
Very nice. I am a beginner guitar player. I've had my guitar less than a year. At this time I have only an acoustic steel string. I'd hoped the conservatory would offer summer classes, but I was disappointed. If they did, I would buy a classical. It's fascinating to watch your hands. It will be a while before I can play good music. I'm still learning the basics.
Hi Vito: I had the luck of crossing that river in India, Niranjana River, which the Buddha crossed so many years ago. But now unfortunately the river is dry so I crossed it by walking!
Wonderful... I love Hesse, used to own all of his writings before my books were destroyed in a war. Your music is beautifully reminding me of Sidarta.
I'm pleased that you felt the connection. It sometimes takes me longer to title and connect my music to something meaningful than it takes to create the composition. lol

@writeDVD Like anything worthwhile learning, it takes time and a lot of practice but the key, IMHO, is to enjoy the journey.

Beautiful. You do a great job on putting the most amazing part of Siddhartha into music. I really feel a connection between the two.

Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha is probably one of the most inspiring works of our time.
Your composition represents it flawlessly :)
