I love this sound. You can really hear Winston's punk sound influencing the whole song, as well as Jeff with his metal, and Ben and Luke with their hardcore/punk. Jia plays bass, so you can't really hear any influence from him (and you wouldn't anyway, because he didn't record with them in the studio), but fuck, this is amazing. No band will ever come close to this. The other songs stick the the good old Parkway sound though, which is just as fantastic.

I like the sound way more compared to the 2 albums! Reminds me (only soundwise!) a bit of the Sevendust sound. The first two album had a plastic sound I personally didn't like at all. Just listen to ABR's Messengers and then give Constellations a listen. The newer album sounds way more natural -->better!!!

Nevertheless the band is one of my all time favourites :)

Yeah sounds very different, especially with a new producer, to be honest Adam D. Did a good job yes, but Horizons wasn't recorded up to scratch to be honest, considering how big they were back then. Killing with a Smile was similar sounding, but the songs were much better IMO, there's a few good ones on horizons but KWAS is much better overall. Sure, Horizons has more technical guitars, but still my favourite songs would be gimmie AD & Romance is dead. I like the new sound :) Good Change

i said that the tone wasn't as good, in my opinion, as the tone on horizons. i don't think theres any doubt that adam dutkiewicz is a great producer, and many see the choice of joe barresi as odd, considering the success and unbelievable sound of horizons !

and yeah i have actually recorded several guitars and given a hand in the mixing of drums and everything else.
