This version by Chevelle is pretty decent as the original DM, solid guitars and heavy drums. I liked... Unfortunately the most Americans do not know Chevelle. I am from Brazil and when I went to Fort Lauderdale FL in 1997 I was seeking for any album by Chevelle but nobody didn’t know them... weird because they are such a terrific band.

They just don't like that much attention because they try to keep a low profile so radio stations like Q92 don't start playing their music. I believe Q92 did want to play I Get It on their station but Chevelle wouldn't let them because they know what that would lead to.

@GoVolsism Joe (the bassist) is the one who never wears a shirt. Pete always wears a shirt on tour and in the music videos. There was only one time Pete (guitarist) didn't wear a shirt and that's when Joe left the band. Pete was doing it in honor of him.

I love that people think enough of depeche mode to cover more than the more well known songs like stripped and personal jesus. Honestly people are killing those songs by covering them to death when depeche mode has billions of songs that are awesome.
No offence to Depeche Mode, Chevelle owns this song. They picked up the tempo and transformed this into a masterpiece. Depeche Mode deserves credit for composing this song, but they did not perform it nearly as well as Chevelle. Funny, cos Finger Eleven took the Depeche Mode's "Walking In My Shoes" and performed the song far better than the original. I mean no offence to Depeche Mode, as they are highly artistic.

HOLY SHIT!!! This band just keeps getting better and better everytime I listen to them. Pete's voice is amazing, Dean's bass playing is awesome, and Sam is just a beast on drums.
Go listen to Cliff Burton on "Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth)" and you'll hear the greatest bassist of all time. No one had ever done that with a bass and still we've not seen anyone of anything near Cliff's caliber. Joe did well enough but was nothing special.
I am entitled to it, I am not a fan of Burton, never have been. I am a bassist/guitarist myself. I listen to guys like John Entwhistle, Justin Chancellor, Mike Inez, Victor Wooten, and Jaco Pastorius.
They were very tool-influenced when they started out, and everyone says pete sounds a lot like maynard. Alright. I get it! ;) I think it's really clear that chevelle definitely has their own sound that really doesn't sound anything like tool anymore. Stop making a big deal about comparing them; it is now extremely irrelevant lol. Tool is good tho :)

HOLY SHIT!!! This band just keeps getting better and better everytime I listen to them. Pete's voice is amazing, Dean's bass playing is awesome, and Sam is just a beast on drums.

No. Not at all, in any conversation.
Go listen to Cliff Burton on "Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth)" and you'll hear the greatest bassist of all time. No one had ever done that with a bass and still we've not seen anyone of anything near Cliff's caliber. Joe did well enough but was nothing special.

I am entitled to it, I am not a fan of Burton, never have been. I am a bassist/guitarist myself. I listen to guys like John Entwhistle, Justin Chancellor, Mike Inez, Victor Wooten, and Jaco Pastorius.
Burton to me, is just overrated.

They were very tool-influenced when they started out, and everyone says pete sounds a lot like maynard. Alright. I get it! ;) I think it's really clear that chevelle definitely has their own sound that really doesn't sound anything like tool anymore. Stop making a big deal about comparing them; it is now extremely irrelevant lol. Tool is good tho :)
