  • amazing. listening to Frank for 40 years, never heard this version of Chunga.

  • From the Zappa WIKI: Recorded in concert at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA on November 1, 1975. ... . Bitchin' melodica solo too!

  • ......... THIS is a great version of "Chunga`s Revenge" and it ends so abruptly.........."Chunga`s Revenge": one of the best compositions of FZ!!!

  • Terry "Ted" Bozzio first played with FZ in 1975... There is a good possibility this is Aynsley Dunbar heard playing.

  • @soyounoat joe's menage is from 1975, so is this song, and so is this terry's drumming... publisher of this video got something wrong...

  • That was fuckin great! Never heard that line up before.

  • terry´s a madman.

  • can't you hear the F-U-N-K.....ah shu kin

  • awesome

  • Is this a bootleg?

  • @Shackamaxon no, it´s an official release by the ZFT:

  • @MrMariodave do you or anyone else by any chance know on which album to find this version?

i couldnt find the album joes menage neither in amazon nor in ebay, would be grateful for a hint. thanks

  • @skinupfast try musictoday. unfortunately it´s very expensive. but if you live in the netherlands, then try soundsdelft

  • @MrMariodave thanks. best regards...

  • @skinupfast Hi This album was part or included in a bootleg set of three album that were available way back in time around 70,71, Held these and was intently fascinated at this particular cut. Very difficult to find nowdays I would guess. The guitar work. I think I will catch a plane to netherlands, this is the area of the world to find the most incredible FZ material of this nature. Thanks, out

  • @tthayer7 allright, thanks. I´m not too far from the netherlands anyway. most any guitar work by FZ is musically outstanding though.... take care

  • a little funk, a little hard metal, a little rock, a little turtle, and a little squid, with a pinch of centipede.

  • This is 75.

  • Merveilleux .

  • chungas ZAPPA MASTER OF MUSIC

  • FUCKING FANTASTIC

  • Who's the lady singing on this?

  • This is 76

  • Great version, only I miss Aynsley Dunbar. Groove drummers like Bozzio and the army of post-1972 Zappa percussionists--each one more technically amazing than the last--just don't do it for me. Dunbar's thing is all tension, dynamics--and chops! What can I say?

  • @dantean I love Aynsley Dunbar's work on Bowie's Diamond Dogs. It's both subdued and epic at the same time.

  • I just posted a couple of tunes from Bowie's

"1980 Floor Show" from 1973 w Aynsley (& Mick Ronson) "1984" and "Can't Explain" that are monster!

  • the song was originally writen in 1970 but this is like 75/76 i think. But great song. Im not a snob please

  • Agree! The period around FZ:OZ. Terrific version! Substantial fill

  • Yes: One of the best versions!!!!!

  • Jazz fusion at its very best. RIP Frank.

  • Weasels ripped my flesh. Rzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....!

  • rock and roll
