  • @Smartboy8877 They Might Be Giants. They're a band, but some of their music is a lot different to thatvin this video

  • Well, if it's any comfort to anyone, you can go watch: "Herry Monster, Ernie and Bert No."

That's the ONE story where Bert wins.

  • You should make Ernie cleans up to Ten Second Tidey music from Big Comfy Couch.

  • He cleans up the room by pushing everything on the floor than wiping his friends eyes with a rag that has cleaning solution on it.

I Know how I'm going to clean up from now on!

  • The Famous Polka!

  • When Bert said cookies, i swear i thought we has going to say cocaine.

  • That is amazing.

  • AKA Rodney Dangerfield messes with Severus Snape.

  • Would you touch that puppet's head?

  • It is fair Bert. Now SHUT UP

  • What does TMBG stand for?

  • For cookies and ice cream, Ernie can do ANYTHING!

    LOL

  • For They Might Be Giants, I can do anything.

  • This was AWESOME!

  • I like that Jewish music that is being played during the clean-up. But why didn't Ernie just get himself another dessert of ice cream and cookies, for crying in the bucket?

  • Nicely done!

  • 1:20 is Funny

  • Honestly Bert what are you? Ernie's friend or his mother??

  • @briansky10 Neither, he's his boyfriend.

  • Which TMBG song is that accordion riff from?

  • @Wh3nYour3Strang3

The Famous Polka, from Miscellaneous T

  • @Wh3nYour3Strang3 It's called Famous Polka and it was on Misc T. (aka Don't lets start) and also Then: The early years

  • @Wh3nYour3Strang3 It's from "The Famous Person", I believe.

  • he's not white!

  • "For cookies and ice cream, I can do anything. Cmon' Bert, lunchtime."

    Damn, this brings me back.

  • Now that I think of it, Snape from Potter Puppet Pals is a lot like Bert XD

  • Bert: The original Squidward.

    ...you know it's true.

  • @Pumpie never thought of it that way, but yeah!!!

  • Ernie and Bert? Sound more like Kermit and Fozzie to me. XD

  • What IS TMBG?

  • The first of Bert going 'why me?'

  • Looking at this and how I grew up watching it, its no mystery why I turned out with the sense of humor I have.

  • old sesame street is always strikingly interesting how the show is done, even though its directly for teaching kids...

especially how cool that counting to twelve video

  • That was cool! You should do more of these!

  • Heeeeey, that's 15 seconds from when Ernie says "go", not from when Bert said he had 15 seconds. I think Ernie owes Bert some cookies and ice cream.

  • lol 1:21

  • At least he burned enough calories to make room for the cookies and ice cream!

  • "For cookies and ice cream I can do anything"

That quote belongs up there with "To be or not to be?"

  • I LOVED this video when I first saw it. Still do.

  • The original video uses different music (like in a silent movie) when Ernie does his fast clean-up job. Sorry, but I prefer that to the polka music inserted here.

  • C'mon Bert! For cookies and ice cream, I can do ANYTHING!

    Wewt.

  • Hold up, I'm confused by the description, did you put the TMBG music in yourself?

  • When i was a kid i was ernie and my brother was bert...i was the messy hyperactive nut and my brother was the studious clean guy. I love these two....

  • The old ducky is white coloured *o*

And Bert got a watch that time Ohhh.

  • Bert doesn't realize how lucky he is; I'd be happy to give cookies and ice cream to my roommates if they'd clean the place once in a while.

  • does burt and ernie remind anyone of joey and chandler?!

  • lol yeah a little

  • The "white tornado" line refers to the old Ajax cleanser slogan. Nothing to do with racism.

  • @propagatrix Kind of funny, actually. In one of TMBG's remixes of Istanbul, it starts with the line "Look! It's a white tornado!"

  • Semase Street teaches kids to gamble!

  • and even tought some of us to spell

  • Nice

  • for cookies and ice cream i can do anything...lol

  • where's the original clean-up music?

  • Bert reminds me of Snape in the Potter Puppet Pals.

  • Does anybody know which son that was?

  • what is their relationship? Are they father son?

  • roomates.

  • homies

  • "i bet i can do it" squeak squeak...LOL

  • That was cute.

  • exactly 15 seconds....wow

  • Bert stop doing this to yourself!! You're not Ernie's father, okay???

  • "A Regular White Tornado"? That sounds.... incriminating..;.... and racist

  • Especially since Ernie isn't white.

  • it only sounds racist if you're paranoid

  • You are right, but I don't think paranoid is the word you are looking for.

  • No, i meant paranoid...people worried about political correctness are paranoid and self-limiting censors.

  • He's orange.

  • if ur one of those black dudes who thinks everything any one says is racist then yes

  • The term White Tornado is a reference to an ad campaign Ajax cleaner used back in the day. Just an observation from an old dude.

  • @ardvarkd And you sound like an ignorant dork

  • Hah, adorable!

  • Bert's eyes look so small

  • They remind me of that show the Odd couple

  • I didn't realize "Miscellaneous T" was that old!

  • exactly 15 seconds!

  • I love my rubber...Duckie

  • no bert, its not fair

  • wow 14 seconds kudos ernie!

  • The song is called "The Famous Polka" on the album Miscellaneous T

  • How old was this? I don't remember Bert's Nose being that long.

  • I want to say within the first two or three season, which would put it at 1972 at the latest

  • From Season 1. I can tell by Ernie's shirt and their overall design.

  • Bert reminds me of squidward, they're both prudes, they both have long noses, and they both sound alike!

  • Best bit; the very first second.

  • the bestest cleaner-uper ever!:-)

  • he he..Bert sounds like Peter Boyle.

  • Uuff.....the voices are bad. Erni sounds like Homer Simpson.

The german Voice is much better and funny!

  • really?? cool

  • That's how he's supposed to sound...

  • MAN! I love the "Famous Polka" It would have been cool to have the entire song. They Might Be Giants are AWESOME!!!

  • TMBG music is so apropate espacaly if you have seen or heard anything from "Here come the ABCs" or "Here come the 123s" both feature some hensonesc animation and puppet work. The interaction between John and john in Here come the 123s is very much like Burt and Ernie.

  • The ABC's and The 123's albums RULE! I think I like them as much, or more than, my kids do!

  • LOL. And it really did take 15 seconds!

  • Khekhekhehe *snort*

  • If he could only go to sleep that quick! :)

  • LOL

  • I love this TMBG music, it adds a totally different feel to the scene, but fits perfectly.

  • What does TMBG stand for? This is new to me.

  • they might be giants, a po/rock band which began playing in the eighties

  • They Might Be Giants.

  • Apparently early Seseme Street is unfit for children do to its lack of PC'ness. Good Grief!!!

  • Everything is considered unfit for children these days thanks to that PC bullcrap.

  • in the german version the voices are much better

  • I personally like the Icelandic voices too - two Icelandic voice actors who really captured their own Ernie and Bert - but of course the originals must always hold respect.

  • The original voices are Jim Henson (Ernie) and Frank Oz (Bert). part of the humor is hearing how these old friends interact.

P.S. Frank Oz is also the voice of Yoda in Star Wars.

  • WTF? In the german version there is some piano music.

  • Wow! way out! Piano music!

  • THE FAMOUS POLKA!

My favorite song from Miscellaneous T.

  • Yeah it could be to Weird Al, but TMBG is way cooler.

  • I agree:)

  • If you ever tried doing that again, you could do that with a intro to a Weird Al Yankovic polka medley. That works just as well.

  • "White tornado"? Explain.

  • Yet even as Bert rages against a mad, unknowable universe, he stubbornly pushes through it. This makes him an existential hero. And anal retentive.

  • TV taught us that Ernie is an uptight commie.

    Isn't that the truth kids?

  • i have just reolized that burt lookes and sounds like squidward

  • Brilliant!! I love it!

  • Just in time!

  • Nicely done..

  • "The Famous Polka" (They Might Be Giants) was a great choice! Damn, Bert was an uptight bitch. I always did like Ernie more, I just forgot why :)

  • Haha, bert just got pwned!

  • I love the original synth music at the end. The addition of TMBG's "The Famous Polka" works great!

  • That was well done dude! Better then the original music, that's for sure!

  • I love how perfectly timed it was. Made my laugh in its awesomeness.

  • I like it it's kewl.

  • could we have the original music to this?

  • Don't feel bad, Bert. He would have gotten your dessert anyway; he always does!

  • haahhahha great one. now try a diiferent tune at the end.

  • Ernie and Bert and John and John. Two classic duos.

  • maybe like the benny hill theme. or Blue Man group. :P

  • I thought of Dream Theater's "Afterlife"

  • What song was that? in other words what does TMBG stand for. That was pretty good.

  • TMBG = They Might Be Giants

  • Pretty cool. try other different music too!!

  • Like SAPfreak? I dunno ...

  • How does he use other videos and add different music on them? Like he did on some of my uploaded videos.
