I love this video and think it shows the beginning of the end with the tour. I saw them a few weeks after this (July, 23 '07 Boston, MA) and they were awesome but Jack seemed very frustrated. I don't think they were ready for the tour. Jack was going full steam from the Raconteurs and Meg basically went from 0-60 and I think it was too much. Hopefully the songs they're recording for the the Loretta Lynn tribute album get them inspired and start playing together again. I miss them =)

I think this song is about Jack's wife and his relationship with Meg. Like his wife was the one who took him away and wanted him to stay at home but through the convincing and love he will always have for Meg he decided to go and do the tour. Remember he had just had a baby right before this tour started.

Giving up all i know=marrige, to get more = fame, popularity of white stripes. they got divorce right before the stripes "made it" for what ever reason but decided to keep the band going.

Great take of this song. I believe it's impossible to truly know the reason Meg breaks down, and furthermore, broke down a few weeks after this. The mystery that surrounds that whole situation is far more interesting than whatever the true reason is. There are signs pointing to an end this entire movie, and though I hate to admit it, I think The White Stripes are done. I'd rather see the body of work they created stand as it is than to see them put out lackluster records in the name of anything

I think they were great together but maybe the whole pretending to be bro and sis got to them and they divorced. what better way to keep eachother close than by calling eachother bro and sis and by keeping megs last name.
