Respond to this video... of course they do, they're musical instruments. i "play" mandolin and banjo and am building my own shamisen from bubinga. i can get a decent import or cheap but well made american mandolin (howard morris or breedlove) for 500 to a thousand dollars if i look hard enough. if i want a gilchrist or nugget, though...i'm looking at 10-30000. if you're starting out, you can find a decent instrument (shamisen) at kotosandmore for about 1500 bucks.

i dont mean the guitar hes using in particular i mean that style of guitar. dont be an ass when im just tryin to let a fellow guitarist know a fact which is interesting imo. also you should work on your tapping. maybe try to learn some andy mckee or somethin idk. also this is irrelevant but even an ancient guitar could be modified with an acoustic pickup and a cord.

Agatsuma Rocks! I am heavily influenced by his Shamisen playing. As an American Shamisen performer, I am thankful to him for his Rock/pop interpretations which help to introduce Shamisen to western ears!
