Hard to believe that in the sixties, Glossop had a nightclub ----- called the Heaven and Hell club. I think the Animals played there. My father thought it was a satanic den of iniquity so I only got to go once. Mind you, Manor park was a venue of choice for a spot of truancy from school. .... those were the days, to coin a cliche. I 'm from Poland but i lived in Glossop for one year. And it definitely touched my heart, I miss that place, would like to go there again
