  • Thanks to the fantastic new credit card law my CC companies have been cutting credit lines and raising interest rates. I had one go from 8.99% to 29.99%. YAY!

  • yes, the credit card companies are going for the max before the new law goes into effect the 1st of Jan.

  • Obama was prez for two weeks at nomination deadline. I hate both Bush and Obama...puppets for wall st., banks and military contractors.

  • False Statements:

:37 Obama deserves Nobel prize because Bush used term "evil dooers"?

:59 There are no bases in Antarctica

1:05 the Russians have had numerical superiority in nuclear weapons for years...

1:20 We detonated 2 atomic bombs, others have used them as deterrents

    I fell asleep after that...

This person sounds like a biased supporter of anything anti-bush to me...

  • You say the USA is the only one to ever use a atomic bomb. Technically that may be true but metaphorically your videos DROP the A BOMB. As a matter of fact, they may be a Hydrogen Bomb. Just trying to help.

  • NOTHING has been done. Of COURSE they're overjoyed. The evil doers (and they do exist) are pleased there is no threat to them. You think they'll stop? Absolutely nothing has been done in spite of Dem majorities in both houses. And nominated 11 days after inauguration?? PLEASE! BUT, bless you for thinking enough to have an opinion and the guts to express it.

  • So you feel that Obama is on the level of Albert Einstein and Mother Teresa??

Maybe it would have been far better to wait and see what he dose in the next three years instead of giving it to him Posthumously. I don't believe in giving award to those who are still yet to achieve the same accomplishments as those who received this award before him. If you really think he is of the same caliber, then that is kind of scary...

  • Considering the level of world cooperations he has achieved after this global financial melt down, caused by our crooked bankers, investment houses and wall st. I'd say that's right up there with Mother Teresa..wouldn't you? Hells bells man! They love him and that's a good thing. Heaven only knows what we would be facing if our President was someone like McCain or Bush Jr.

  • Obama on the level of Albert Einstein and Mother Teresa, theBuilder65? How about on the level of Yasser Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin? They both won Nobel Peace Prize too, and they were still yet to achieve their accomplishments. Anyway, I agree with Boomer on just what Obama has done so far.

  • Well I guess I'm not as easily seduced by a politicians words and promises and TV coverage, as you are. I believe that time, action and history will tell the true story, not just the past few months. World history has seen leaders like him before, and it didn't end up well. So we'll see...

    In short;

Really, REALLY liking someone is not a smart way to gage a mans performance as a leader.

Even Gandhi didn't receive the Nobel Prize.

  • John McCain conveniently suspended his Campaign to go to Washington to vote for. I think that the Fed deserves more of our attention than hate for a President. There's more energy from FOX NEWS focused on destroying our President that should be used in finding out about that $350,000,000,000. I'm more concerned about the practices of the Fed than I am about destroying the one man who the MAJORITY of Americans voted for. This is nothing more than hate for one man. Who didn't cash stimulus checks?

  • I agree with you 100%. Thanks for your comments.

  • I have never seen or listened to so much obvious hate concerning a President, and my first vote was cast for the Nixon Presidency. Most comments about Obama come from negative comments that have been fed on from those that didn't vote for him. Those that rally against Health Reform and the funding $860,000,000,000 over the next 10 years should be rallying at the Fed over the $350,000,000,000 of the Bush Bailout that has never been found.

  • Thanks for telling us about this bill. No, I had NOT heard of the Debtor's Revolt! YAY! Are student loans part of that? There are some new terms for college borrowers, but I always manage to slip thru the giant cracks in those things. I have been out of college 26 years now, and I am nowhere near close to getting out from under.

  • I understand what your saying. My daughter was mislead into a loan by the finance department of Hunter College. This was not a "student" loan, as most think of them but a standard loan, with high interest. Reason being the college got a kick back from the bank if they pushed these kinds of loans.

There has been hearing about this predatory loan practice in Washington but I haven't found any new legislation as of yet to stop it.

  • Sorry to hear that! Education has gotten into a number of businesses including commercial research and renting out facilities for film shoots, and now this. With the loss of adequate public funding, the "creative" ways admins have managed funding shortfalls have marginalized students and their needs and delivered cheap goods to business. Hope your daughter can get out from under this. It is like Gore said - "A mortgage with no house."

  • She's been trying but she no sooner makes one step forward and something comes along to put her one step back.

  • That's how they like it - if they keep you slipping back, they can add value to your debt with fees and interest and resell it to someone who hopes to pass on the hot potato before it burns them. I worked several jobs concurrently to try to break thru the debt barrier, and I just got carpal tunnel syndrome out of it. Then they got to really raise my value with penalties for being in default.

  • So he picked a good speech writer and can read off a teleprompter...give that man a Nobel Peace Prize. When he reigns in our Empire and dismantles some of the overseas bases then I'll consider him a man of peace. He has done nothing to return the powers of congress that they handed over to the office of the president post 9/11. Easy to negotiate peace from a position of power, but he hasn't done that yet either. "King of the World." Prescient of you? Very scary times we live in.

  • bought and payed for by the world bank. bush was in bed with this good guy bad guy bs. Love Scott (BUG) A BOMB go to AZAR for a first class ed. on.

  • Boomer Me thinks you like Obama too much. He works for the corporation. I read he will now have trouble just 'signing off'

on giving General 'M' 40k more troops for the WAR in Afghanistan. Regarding HR-627 and HR-1207, I love your

optimisim. However, Congress works for the Banks and Wall Street. Its unlikely they will bite the hand that feeds them. (More smoke and mirrors) You do good research though.

    Get well

  • I know, it does appear that the odds are in the favor of the banks and large corporations. But I'll take a small glimmer of hope when I can find it.

  • Guantanamo still open, Yes

    War continues in Afghanistan, Yes

    War Continues in Iraq, Yes

Heath care law passed with a democratic congress, senate, and president? NO

Obama has continued many policies of the Bush administration.

I believe that the peace prize was given to him not because of what he has done, but, was given to him with the hope that he would change HIS policies to create world peace.

    I hope it works.

  • Everything you listed are things Obama has put into motion since taking office. I really don't get where people think that he can just wave his hand and all will be done. He's just an ordinary human being.

  • How many years must the war in Iraq contnue before you must admit that Obama has broken his promise when he said: On "my first day in office, I would give the military a new mission: ending this war."

  • I'm not so sure he didn't say that to the DOD or his cabinet the first day in office, are you?

  • Obama did say

On "my first day in office, I would give the military a new mission: ending this war."

Is he the commander of the military? Is the war ending any time soon?

  • Thanks izzy but it's just a on going sinus thing I have.

  • I am not so sure he is trying to defend our country...I think he is furthering the agenda of the corporate elite ensuring that they continue their goal of global dominance...just look at his crowd...Geitner just to name one....as with other administrations....it is the large banks and corporations he will help...

  • Maybe, but only time will tell. I do know there have been quite a few hearings around the Fed and Corporate power in Washington for the last year or more. What new regulations or laws will come from them, again..time will tell.

  • I appreciate what u r saying, but let's keep in mind that this man was only in office 12 DAYS when the application deadline was set. 12 DAYS? No works beyond the deadline can be considered after the deadline. They could have waited another year no? And awarding somone for being a lesser evil than the previous is no stand, IMHO. Not to mention there is no sign of an end in Iraq. Further troops into Afghanistan. I dont know, when I look at other possible recipients, I have to wonder why Barak.

  • I do appreciate your input, it is always nice to hear an opposing view :)

  • The world was watching right from the minute the election process started, they clearly knew where each candidate stood before the final vote tally.

The Iraq, Afgahn thing is a non argument for obvious reasons.

Name one other person on this planet that has the greatest ability to effect, positively or negatively the entire planet, as the man with the finger on the button that could end mankind.

  • in terms of peace, other than words, what were the deeds that merit this?

  • Words are powerful in their own right. Obama's words to the world has been of cooperations, negotiation and peace.

Just imagine the worlds reaction to a US President that used words like, retaliation, retribution, or extermination.

  • even nixon would look like a peace keeper after 8 years of bush and cheney ... but surely there is someone more deserving of an award than the guy who waged a new front in his first month in office.

iraq? still no definitive end in sight.

all of the unconstitutional shit the last administration did? still stands. no reconciliation and no accountability.

FISA? don't even get me started :P

i voted for barack, and i want what he promised.

good video though. food for thought.

  • Right on!
