In other words it calculates how many doses of a drug would be lethal to half the population. Aspirin has a LD-50 ratio of 1:20, which means you take 20 aspirin it will more than likely kill you. The LD-50 ratio of marijuana is 1:20,000. You would have to smoke 150 lbs of marijuana in a span of about 15 minutes for it to be lethal.

No. Weed doesn't kill brain cells, it actually stimulates neurons, just the burnt plant matter if consumed constantly (nobody smokes 40 joints a day, most don't do it more than 5 or 6 times per WEEK). Also, there have been no reported cases of lung cancer as a direct result of cannabis use either as the cannibinoids actually help widen the lungs. I'm no where near a regular smoker but let loose sometimes. On a school's ending party, smoked 3 ounces in 2 days plus cigars and at one point you're too high to smoke anymore, I sleept like 5 hours, still woke up high and drunk and went back to partying. The only side effects of weed are sleep and you feel like shit if you take too much, but if you take another one when you feel like shit, you feel great. Simple!
If you take too much marijuana the only thing that might happen is that you feel dizzy and tired, while the worst thing that could happen is an attack of sweating or you eventually have to vomit (happened to me once)

Here's a nugget for ya. For those not familiar with the term LD-50, LD is Lethal Dose, 50 means 50% of the population. In other words it calculates how many doses of a drug would be lethal to half the population. Aspirin has a LD-50 ratio of 1:20, which means you take 20 aspirin it will more than likely kill you. The LD-50 ratio of marijuana is 1:20,000. You would have to smoke 150 lbs of marijuana in a span of about 15 minutes for it to be lethal.

To overdose on marijuana is much different than most other drugs. Many marijuana users overdose almost everytime they use. Also, it is possible to become very sick from ingesting marijuana. No. Weed doesn't kill brain cells, it actually stimulates neurons, just the burnt plant matter if consumed constantly (nobody smokes 40 joints a day, most don't do it more than 5 or 6 times per WEEK). Also, there have been no reported cases of lung cancer as a direct result of cannabis use either as the cannibinoids actually help widen the lungs. I'm no where near a regular smoker but let loose sometimes. On a school's ending party, smoked 3 ounces in 2 days plus cigars and at one point you're too high to smoke anymore, I sleept like 5 hours, still woke up high and drunk and went back to partying. The only side effects of weed are sleep and you feel like shit if you take too much, but if you take another one when you feel like shit, you feel great. Simple!

Addiction isn't defined by how often you use, but its your dependancy to use the substance and the consiquences from it. Person who does something 3 or 4 times year wouldn't consider being someone who uses LSD. I know people that know people, that do LSD everyday. I know people who do it every week. I know people who try it once, never again. Its not as addictive as other drugs, but you can definitly become addicted to it. Just like you can pretty much be addicted to anything. Like farmville

My father has lung and throat cancer. He doesn't smoke cigs, He smoked pot for a very long time. His health started to fail the more he smoked. The more he smoked he got breathing problems just like a lot of people who smoke pot, any substance for that matter. Smoke anything constantly your body will be affected. naaaaaah, when someone dies from choking on smoke in a fire this is suffocation. if you started to have lack of oxygen when smoking wee you just need to put the bong down and breath

Its less likely to happen with tobacco because you don't hold it in. Someones death isn't widely available online, just like someones illness isn't. Everytime someone gets cancer from smoking weed doesn't get broadcasted. You want to find out, do your own research, contact your hospital or morgue, prehapse they might give you statistics. Or , be your own test subject. Lets see how that plays out.

you have no evidence that this has hapened, yes i know it would seem logical that if someone held their breath with the smoke they would die but this is no different from someone holding thier breath normally. you cannot die from lack of oxygen when smoking weed in normal circumstanses, only if you filled the room with smoke and you had no way of getting air, but in that case then we should make wood, coal and anything else that burns illegal

Did you read what I said? No , I don't have a website. There isn't a website that has death reacords just hanging around. This information IS available in medical books. If you learn about smoke, and how it can kill you. AND. You can try to go down to your local hospital, and find out.
Your being rediculous. Your not directly smoking and holding in cig smoke or fire wood smoke. You breath in the smoke from weed and hold it, for longer than holdin in cig smoke.

@Rainbowrants I agree with your arguement on Smoking in General..Smoking anything is Bad for You. But Cannabis can be Eatin,Vapourised,even be made into a drink! Which is all Pretty much safe (as far as i'm aware) Is your arguement based on the 'Smoke' Factor alone?

You keep repeating the process, in and out. Just like inhailing smoke from a fire in and out all the time. Its the same thing. Differene is, fire smoke is almost impossible to avoid, which is why you die. Smoking the weed, that is what you WANT to do, puff, puff, puff, puff puff. Some people, don't take enough time, some are lucky and pass out. I know people who have passed out. I don't know people who have died, but i know OF people who died because I know people in the medical industry.
