The electrical ether- for example- proceed from magnetic field from atoms, eliminated in following combination of the deuterium with tritium in helium. The eliminated magnetic field it decompose in particles of electrical ether in chamber of thermonuclear reaction.Any chemical combination eliminate this electrical ether. But at the chemical combination the chemical elements which participate at reaction can not to be magnetic isolated because they it combine before to be ionized.

The ACTUAL ELECTRICAL GENERATORS : galvanic elements and electrical accumulators; dynamos and alternators; thermoelements and photoelectric cell - transform nothing, but they only gather the electrical energy= the particles of the electrical ether which exist in metals, in the environing medium, in the thermic radiation or in the ray of light!

  • SandustanBrasov

The ELECTRICAL CURRENT consist in circulation in the round and in lengthways to one electrical conductor to the particles of electrical ether guided on the magnetic field from the round the conductor; magnetic field formed all from particles of electrical ether coupled head at head and expelled in concentric circles in the round the conductor. If it interrupt the electrical current, then it decompose and this magnetic field in particles of electrical ether and it drain in circuit

The ELECTRON is not an exclusive electrical load, but an elementary particle from the composition of any atom, and is only a particle with intermediate role in the unfolding of the electrical phenomenons. The REAL ELECTRCAL LOAD is a particle of electrical ether more nore small than the electron, has and she a personal and rapid rotation, producing a personal magnetic field, which it gear with the magnetic field from the round of one electrical conductor.

  • Global warming is a lie to justify A TAX ON AIR. All the while Al Gore lives in a mansion that can be seen from space.

  • 1980 summer study done by DOE for SPS satelllites in orbit. Would be a reference to look at, this stuff is doable with 1970's technology.

  • latitudes could beam their " energy " whether laser or microwave to said craft which would in turn feed that energy to an array of strap on boosters underslung the craft perhaps five or more such boosters might be " aerosymetrically " stacked on its underside ? And as the craft is already up to 30000 or more feet in altitude and is traveling at approx 500 mph with the " better boosters " and the extra zip from the light up above who knows ?

  • aialble to the solid rocket propellent based spacecraft courtesy of a space based solar array(s) ? Would more powdered aluminum and less gunpowder provide greater thrust and or a greater sustainment therof ? If a craft were contructed capable of being towed to a height of 30000 ft or so , say by two or three C-5 galaxy airplanes utilizing a common hawser between them , and if that craft had receiver dishes " faired in " to its fuselage then two space based solsats at same longitude but different

  • In an effort to reduce the cost of putting a payload in orbit i was thinking it might be possible to utilize these space based solar arrays to increase the efficiency of solid rocket or strap on boosters now in use ?SR propellent uses a mixture of waht basically amounts to gunpowder and powdered aluminum and as such requires a massive electrical current to achieve ignition . Once ignited however they burn like your average bottle rocket . What if there were a continuous source of high voltage av

  • Won't it deplete ozone layer?

  • I agree MrFrancisH we need to explore our geothermal, hydro, & earth solar technologies as these alone can solve the energy problem. Eg, the earths geothermal reserve is est at 12.6 x 10*24 Megajoules according to some estimates. Australia has enough 'Base Load working 24/7' geothermal energy within reach to supply the countrys energy needs for about 20,000 years or more. (This est ignores the fact that geothermal is renewable!) Inner space looks like the only affordable & practical future!

  • how do u get a 1 hour footage?

  • By owning YouTube.

  • I'm sorry i don't buy this at all.

1,000watts per square metre is peanuts even against the quoted 200 watts per square metre for sunlight.

The area of the collectors would need to be massive and then this energy would be needed to be converted to microwaves/lasers with associated losses.

All the rest of the lecture appears to be denigration of other sources.

100 kW is one tenth the energy of a 1,000 kVA (1 megawatt nom) transformer which is a standard industry standard in the U.K.

    A weapon?

  • A space cable could be used to transfer electric current from the satelite solar power plants. The cable would only need to support itself. Admittedly for 22000 miles if the satelite was in geostationary orbit.

    .

The experiment depends on this secret military laser he talks about.

  • Hi meotaku2. Perhaps I did sound a little pessimistic, the geostationary orbit would be favourite as you say. My concern would still be be the size of the arrays. The original idea some years ago was to use mirrors to reflect sunlight, but areas the size of small countries would have been needed.

    Best wait and see probably?

    Regards.

I see someone has given me a negative, perhaps it was because I recognised a contravention of the Weapons in Space agreement with the Russians?

  • Knob!

Dont try to be an intellect when, you're clearly, quite retarded.

  • No.

  • Yes.

  • Increase global warming? Maybe. Ponder on the amount of satellites in space. We know the moon affects various aspects of earth, are we creating similar reactions from our satellites? Mars research shows that a possible degrading orbit asteroid caused catastrophic failure of the magnetic field and eventually made Mars FUBAR. Are we looking at a similar effect from satellites? True man made satellites are much smaller.

  • You're basically intercepting light that would be attenuated by the upper parts of the atmosphere, and have an ~50% emission into space. Now you're basically grabbing it before it hits the atmosphere, and beaming it down at a wavelength that's transparent to the atmosphere. Now all that energy gets reemitted as energy from other sources at the ground level - but at least it doesn't increase the CO2 problem - which has strong absorption smack in the middle of Earth's blackbody radiation band.

  • If we get space elevators, fine. If we don't, fine. 99% of the dirt for sunsat construction will come from the moon, launched in softball-sized packets every half-second by electromagnetic mass drivers. All that is necessary to launch from earth are electronics, tools, and humans, and converted Atlas and Delta rockets can do that. At last report, Obama may be coordinating missions in NASA and DOD. Look for DOE to be brought into the loop.

  • i belive that space elevators are science fiction and will be so in the future too..

  • This guy is about the worst speaker I have ever heard. He wastes lots of time complaining about a lack of time. He sucks.

  • Ahh, Chu!

  • Problem with lasers is that they are visible light. They will be blocked by clouds.

Microwaves penetrate clouds just fine. Doesn't matter if you have clouds, rain, etc.

Lasers would be great for space-to-space applications. Even a Lunar pawersat should probably use lasers.

  • There are far IR lasers that have rather good cloud penetration. The problem however, is a lack of conversion efficiency - either to or from laser light.

Microwaves are only useful up to about 6 GHz, otherwise you start getting serious RF to DC conversion losses. This is all associated to the rate of minority/majority carriers transitioning in the Schottky diodes. This is all well studied ... I'm just contributing to the conversation, not looking to debate anything with you.

  • I think I'm glad you're not wanting to debate, because it seems you're more knowledgeable about this than I am.

However, I do thank you for the contribution, since now I know these things too.

  • I'm happy to see that Lori Garver is leading the Obama NASA Transition Team. The Triana Deep Space Climate Observatory should fly, NASA should catalog earth-approaching asteroids, and President Obama should review SSP as soon as is reasonable. SSP can align national policies in six key areas: energy, space, security, commerce, environment, and education. In concert with ground feeder strategies, it can scale to run the cities and industries of 2100 while diversifying the ecological niche.

  • Hi. Why don't somebody tell these guys that there is enough power at the centre of the earth to power the world for billions of years, who needs these microwaves causing cancers, there's enough heat down there to run the biggest electric generators.

oh I forgot its to easy.

    cheers zeropoint132

  • Microwaves don't cause cancer.

To get all of that geoheat, and get it to all the places that need it, would require huge drilling projects in every population center (cities and groups of cities), causing gargantuan environmental damage.

  • Are you absolutely insane? After seeing all of the videos about what happens when you throw a match into a microwave oven, you want to turn a few acres into a atmosphere burning zone? One bolt of lightning sets the whole thing off. I don't want to burn off the atmosphere because, I breath it.

  • Congratulations to John Mankins and his team for their demonstration of wireless power transfer over 90 miles from one Hawaiian island to another, about the distance from space to ground. Power was low due to FAA and budget constraints but SSP theory was proven with end-to-end hardware. Congress and the new president should listen to Mankins regarding space/energy/environment policy going forward. He thinks a pilot plant at geo can happen in 10 years with funding commitment.

  • Carlimongrel is looking for AFF down the hall. This one's space solar power. ;)

  • omg i actually understood what he said!!!! I am smarter than i thought

  • Actually power could be delivered in part by the tether to a space elevator, and certainly use a "third rail" method to power the lifters. Chances are the tether itself will be very conductive.

I liked the laser idea, using star wars tech. He's also correct that military R&D inspires new tech. It's what has driven most new developments.

I use the most recent analogy of slavery to describe fossil addiction. Where even our constitution said it was wrong while it was motivated by economics.

  • Guess some of the theses and technologies by Nicola Tesla like long range energy transfer might be useful here. As long as it does not nuke some city instead of hitting the correct power line on earth ;-)

  • Just to set things straight. Space solar power was born in the brains of folks who had global environmental, as well as global energy, concerns going back decades. Fortunately, the world produces a few thinking people who, on behalf of conservative reactionaries who don't give a flying crap about the biosphere in which they live, move the species forward in ways that the reactionary is incapable of predicting. Let the hotFusionReactionary think on this one.

  • SPS is the first REAL option I've seen that I would back over Nuclear.

Generally speaking, I get upset when environmentalists overlook Nuclear, but this looks as though it could REALLY blow the current base load power structure right out of the water!

  • Local power systems could operate off of energy collected nearby, while places which need power elsewhere longdistance either on ground or in space could use the power relayed more so from space.satelites could send that energy about as quickly as they recieve it to specific destinations on the ground. Satelites in space could relay power to other satelites if need be or to aid in power sharing in space as well as on the ground.

  • You'd relay wirelessly power from individual generators, solar, wind, etc. into a power sharing wireless grid network, satelites could be used to extend the wireless pipeline, to gather/share energy in space and to/from the ground based generators. At the sametime retrieve and transmit power in space to the ground where it's either stored or accessed in realtime by individual devices and/or to individual homes, businesses, or communities which recieved the power distribution.

  • Might wanna start small and work out something on the ground, workout a method for power generation and then power transfer, then staying small perfect electronics, and gradually work to bigger networked experiments, and eventually implement a power sharing system in space and ground where the satelites work like power relays like the internet and existing cell phone networks do.

  • The technology since brown did not create it scientists working with the objects felt it was something alien or out of this world from somewhere else. One such test was ION vacuum test, which was to test and determine weither or not an ION Wind required oxygen or not and how it'd react when lack of oxygen took place and to confirm the ion wind theory that came accross from the lifter concept.

  • Many years later a modified form using the same exact concept they found it was easier to achieve hovering by launching an object into orbit. The object was eventually given the name of the satelite, and began multi-purpose function of communications and TV. Which it continued to improve on over time, and it was no longer called the lifter. Sometime later Brown stumbled upon technology the general created and began to assign scientists to perform tests and reverse engineer.

  • The same General guy that developed the early lifter experiment wanted to create an object that literally hovered over LA and provided wireless power to every home in and out of the suburbs, provided communications and other radio signals, 1 for each city. And also serve as a defense platform. Early tests at the time showing a possible relation between the so-called UFO Battle over LA where people on ground saw hovering object in sky and began firing on it in fear of unknown attack.

  • Since solar panels generate low amount of energy, and takes some energy to send/recieve the power, multiple wireless generators on grouns and in space tin a power sharing manner could eventually produce enough to distribute what's needed if a satelight in space is used in the same manner as is used for wireless communications. Using a satelite like a relay hub for distributing power. Believe it or not, this was actually the original design idea for the satelite before used for communications.

  • Burning hydrogen does nuclear fusion, and replaces dangerous nuclear power today!

  • Bad call Monkey. You dildoheads were launched by Limbaugh, who was launched by the death of the Fairness Doctrine in 1987. I vote for a return of the Fairness Doctrine. I also vote for a launch of the SSP industry using lunar materials. Just git 'r done!

  • STFU with global warming already! The gas that comes out of your pretty pink panties isn't the primary factor in earths temperature, it's the sun. Case closed. Nothing to see here. Do not pass go, and do not collect 200 dollars.

  • Maybe, maybe not. BUT it still doesn't change the fact that we could produce a virtually INFINITE amount of electricity using SPS WITHOUT any garbage from environmentalists.

    Capitalism at its finest...

  • too slow to have continuity ! for any meaningful comprehension of the text being presented,a mid-course correction is essential.

  • Google know no sceince! Do molecular nuclear fusion!

  • The difference between a rock star and Dr. Hoffert is that he has to explain it all verbally in detail. I'd like to have a beer with him. The difference between Barack Obama and Rush Limbaugh is not so great.

  • Nice talk. Glaser's SPS is coming along. SPS dwarfs all local energy strategies COMBINED & the sun will shine on. SPS doesn't inject waste heat or other nasties into the air. It MEANS the human settlement of space. The survival of species depends on this activity. Thank God for the moon & asteroids. You want to stop a big bad asteroid? De-spin it, park it, and USE it for materials. Big manned planetary missions? Power them with SPS beams. Take the kids along. They'll have great show & tell!

  • I have mixed feelings about this video. OOH, Dr. Hoffert's political and military comments are obnoxious, if not poisonous. OTOH, this talk managed to discuss several interesting, new developments that are important in the area of SSP. I am frustrated that he did not go into more detail. Were his presentation more efficient, he could have delivered the entire talk in 20 minutes. I wish him well on his experiment, and would like to see the results.

  • It would have been nice if he had not confused the "Star Trek" Borg with the "Star Wars" franchise.

  • Google has recently committed 100 million dollars to solar power research. I wonder If this is what they are funding.

  • Very interesting, love these techtalks.
