@MK3B4YV6 Haha, welcome! Just make sure you don't have a bunch of crap running on your computer and have some memory to spare - the laptop I used this camera with was more or less abused and made everything choppy for me, haha.

You need to CTRL ALT Delete then go to your task manager.

then right click on the Microsoft life cam. then go into setting and select real time it might get ride of all the lag you are getting. If that doesn't work you might want a new CPU.

It works great on the new Windows 7 Computers, and turn off the stupid Auto Focus! Higher end computers produce better HD Content! Just Saying. Good luck in college!

@haiti1800 let me know if its better. In general I see people just buying a camcorder because it seems like webcams in general just suck. I've been through a few of them.  I'm gonna stay with mine for now. It's just a webcam it won't replace a decent camcorder which stinks. @haiti1800 Logitech products are awful. check my review. I use 720p with highest resolution for my camera review of the Microsoft Lifecam Cinema Webcam. It's quite clear. Much more clear, but I tell people, turn off the auto focus, its distracting during movement and buy a separate $50 usb mic or usb boom mic (no matter what webcam) it makes all the difference. If you have a dual core processor, your fine, but if you have a 6 year old comp, then choose the 630 x 360 resolution. Its fine.

@peneraserlove That could be it too. I noticed that quality is much better when you directly record a video rather than doing an Re: reply to someone. You can also change the sound when you're doing an Re: Reply to someone - it's in Mono by default but it's a Stereo Mic. If you keep it on Mono the video doesnt go well with the voice.

Why is your framrate so bad. I´m using the same cam and my video run very smooth. Overall the lifecam cinema is the best webcam I used until now, the mic is great, and the picture and video quality is just great under indoor light conditions.

@DjDarKZONE Sorry for carrying on, haha, but there wasn't really a way to not, haha. It's jumpy because it's in HD.. if I changed the resolution everything would be in sync. I'm also not using it on a flat surface.. It does occasionally stutter, though.
