does anyone else remember brasil's city of the future back in the 1970's? this sounds eerily similar to that planned "utopian" city of the future from past decades ( anyone remember metropolis? ) , yet, only 350,000 residents will be allowed to live in this city of the future. so who will decide who gets to live there? the government? sounds like a dictatorship to me and like ALL "great liberal" or "progressive" ideas of the past, and guess what, ALL LIBERAL IDEAS FAIL!
i've seen pix of what this is supposed to look like. if they pull it off, it will be beautiful! i hope that this might inspire the usa to build one too.
