As someone who grew up with the NES and SNES, the graphics in this game are at the same time amazingly beautiful and nostalgic. Playing Four Swords made me feel like a kid again.

The graphics are like that because it was meant to be controlled with the Gameboy advance, e.g. every time you went into a building, the screen appeared on the Gameboy.

That's like asking why Bowzer is the boss in every Mario game, or why Link is the hero in every Zelda game--it's kind of expected. Besides, Four Swords Adventures was designed to complement A Link to the Past, which it did very brilliantly. There wasn't much they could have done to make it better or more interesting. All in all, it might be nice to see a new villian in a Zelda game, and they've done that in the past with the Capcom Zeldas, but Ganon is pretty integral to the Zelda franchise.
