Can you explain why the Healthcare Bill and PUBLIC OPTION are GAINING in the polls?
Once healthcare passes and the GOP fails again, Obama will start to slowly rise in the polls. As he tackles more problems that the GOP has NO ANSWERS FOR, he will continue to advance. I predict early 2010, he will be back to 60s.

Nothing suprises me about the Nobel Prize for the president. Under President Clinton/Bush we had 16 years of unbridled greed and a questionable war. The American people rightly questioned Mr. Bush and it was Bush that gave the Dem's a super majority. While I do not endorse the current president I do not condem him either. It is the American people who elect their leaders without thinking. We buy first without asking if the product is as advertised. We get what we pay for....

What this really means is, it pays to be a world-class orator. No need for real, achievable, measurable, quantifiable accomplishment. Just talk and talk and it will do the trick. Real accomplishment goes down the drain and potential accomplishment - which may never come at all - is the 'in' thing. I'm afraid that after this, people won't take the Nobel Peace Prize seriously. Image won over substance.

I just don't see how the president of a country that is fighting two wars can win a PEACE prize. He has done nothing at all, not for peace, not for Middle East, and not for the United States.
