whenever I see jerry Penacoli on CNN I always think of the gerbil scandal... It really took on a life of its own... the friend of a friend actually having a friend who worked in the emergency room, etc. And this was before the internet... how did it spread so quickly?
No, they had regis already. AM Philadelphia was renamed AM live during its last year or so. Barbara Walters demanded her show be aired in Philly, at 11:00. WPVI already with Rikki lake, at 10:00, and Rosie stuck in overnights (for the time being) pushing for a better timeslot, ch6 had no choice but to end AM live. Ofcoarse they didn't totally end it their. The show was renamed Philly after midnight, moved to midnight, and was basically the same format, but ratings crashed, and the show died.
Am Philadelphia was a great show (for a local show), that may have still been airing today if not for Barbara Walters forcing channel 6 to make room for the view.

Thrifty is being generous when you're talking about the animation. Color schemes are fine, I think... It's that bouncing and jerking that gets me.

Paul Norton must have been with channel 6 since the beginning. Great set of pipes on that guy!
