I've been to their Hamburg concert yesterday - the best I've ever seen Elton perform live. I enjoyed every one of his shows so far (yesterday was my 7th concert with him), but what he and Ray did there was simply brilliant, pure genius. The audience was giving standing ovations after every song, and the nearly 3 hours did just fly by.
@NannyOgg76 War auch dort und ja, es war einfach nur fantastisch!! Habe soeben Rocket Man vom Hamburg-Konzert hochgeladen; wenn du Lust hast, guck's dir an:-)
@ejfan3333 Oh, alright. Thought as much. Do you know if that goes for every Elton/Ray concert - the fact that he's on his own during the first part of the show? :)
@MrsDelle I've seen them 3 times last year and it was always like that - Elton started the show on his own (for about 1 1/4 hour with a lot of rarities:D) and then Ray joined him. It was the same concept with this year's South Africa shows and as far as I know back in 1979 and 1993/4;-)
You just HAVE to see them when there's a chance for you!!!!!
Thank you for posting this. It's so good to see Ray getting the recognition he so rightly deserves. I remember seeing him in the 80's Playing with Gilmore and others thinking wow this guy is amazing.

Was this the first song that they played at this concert?

@MrsDelle It was the first song with them both. The first part of the concert was Elton on his own.
