Ahh love this game! The best way (or rather most satisfying) to score was to approach the goal from an angle, lob the ball up into the air (almost like passing)- this causes the goalie to jump up to grab it. Just shortly after lobbing it, jump up as well and if timed correctly, you can divebomb the goalie knocking him out. Then you simply pick up the ball and waltz in for a T.D. = )
I remember playing this game and being in awe of it. the violence is so hilarious knocking someone out and jumping on them was the best. I could play that game all day
I loved the heck out of this game. Alternative reality sports is a fun guilty pleasure of mine. Great art design, game was fun and easy to pick up. My final match was truly epic, freakin 2 hours of playing with the Rough Riders and win with a volley shot on the goal board. I freaked out for 2 hours straight. Thats the way to win at this game. Besides, not too many other games would let you Refoul downed players with a DFA attack and knock them out with that CLANG! A underrated game.

I may look lame compared to today's games, but that thing is almost 20 years old! It is highly addictive. Time to dig the Genesis out of the attic!
