Ronald Reagan didn't even mention the word AIDS until over 35,000 people died 7 years into his presidency. Furthermore, he and conservative pundits blocked or delayed measures that would have stemmed the epidemic greatly b/c they thought it was a "gay disease"

bullshit! The worst discrimination of Gays is by the black community. AIDS didn't start out a gay disease... Gays just have/had more unprotected sex.... and thats because no one promoted protection for gays .
If most of these women were highly educated then why not practice safe sex If they know it's a problem in the African American community about homosexuality.The problem I see is not just the black men,but both adults who are not taking full-responsibility and blaming it on others. However, I feel for the kids who are in this world with aids, because there parents wasn't responsible.
