Leona is amazing. I didn't even know she was on The X Factor until months after I was a fan. She's an incredible artist and everything she does is amazing. I love her voice, and I support and buy her music 100% but she needs to get away from doing cover's, even though they sound amazing, she needs to pump out some good original material to stay in the charts. I went through a lot with this song in its original version and I have to say one thing - Leona clearly hits the emotional mark of being absolutely fabulous and authentic with this song. It is a cover that is absolutely brilliant from the very beginning until her hitting the last note!

I do like Leona Lewis and she has an amazing voice. She did a great job doing these covers. But I do agree that is the new album all full of covers? She has a fastastic voice but even Adele, Florence + The Machine has original songs and I believe Adele and Florence both wrote their own material as well. So in that regard, as much as I do love Leona's voice, greater respect has to be given to the other two UK ladies, Adele and Florence.

I went through a lot with this song in its original version and I have to say one thing - Leona clearly hits the emotional mark of being absolutely fabulous and authentic with this song. It is a cover that is absolutely brilliant from the very beginning until her hitting the last note!

I do like Leona Lewis and she has an amazing voice. She did a great job doing these covers. But I do agree that is the new album all full of covers? She has a fastastic voice but even Adele, Florence + The Machine has original songs and I believe Adele and Florence both wrote their own material as well. So in that regard, as much as I do love Leona's voice, greater respect has to be given to the other two UK ladies, Adele and Florence.

@Isane01 She does have a great voice, but I think it's a bit of a stretch to say most of her covers become remembered as by her. She's done a few good covers (like I Will Be, Run, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and A Moment Like This), but she doesn't beat the original every time (Iris, Colourblind, Hurt, Run, Stop Crying Your Heart Out = her covers weren't better and they're well known/loved songs so if anyone thinks hers as the original they don't know much about music).

@butlerny Um, did you miss the fact that my very first sentence said, "She does have a great voice." and that I complimented some of the covers she's done? I never said you had to explain yourself to me, if you think her covers always beat the original then that's fair enough but I was pointing out that that person was wrong to say that "most of the songs she covers become remembered as by Leona" - they don't because she isn't covering obscure songs.

This is one of my favourite songs of all time. It makes me want to cry every time lol. This song was the best part of City Of Angels.
I wish people would stop whining about her covering songs, as if she's the only one. At least she has a fabulous voice and isn't like the computer generated robots of Hollywood.
