Yess Lord! I lost my baby this year to cancer, but this was our song. And it brings back some strong memories. I think I will play this a coupla' more times.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL NEAR AND FAR, SIT BACK, LISTEN TO SOME GOOD OLE SCHOOL CHRISTMAS SONGS AND ENJOY. GOD BLESS ALL, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HOPE YOU HAVE ONE HELLAVA NEW YEAR
Oh my, I can just close my eyes and go back to the times when I was young and innocent and didn't even know it. Songs like this just make me feel so blessed to have known so many wonderful times, especially Christmas, with my family, although most of them are no longer here with me. I thank God for memories. What would we be without them. Merry Christmas to everyone!
The 2 people I love in my life love listening to old time jazz for instant like Charles Brown. Btw anyone know where to buy a whole collection of good old classic Christmas songs?
@yo2010ism ...I don't know where to buy them but i'll be seeign Charles Brown in a few weeks at my moms 75th birthday party...him and his family used to be our next door neighbor after listening to his songs again..I am going to ask him to make me a few of them lol
Oh Yeah you guys, Eggnog and Brandy had some this a.m. @Bigsmittyjr Jackson Avenue right across the street from that big church. My Mom , Ms Vernese and Uncle Bill, Ms. Rose and Ms. Henrietta having a good time in New Orleans.
In the '70's, my father would start playing this song every evening after Thanksgiving and he wouldn't stop until Christmas was over. Ah...great memories. Merry Christmas everyone!
This is the version I love.....I can still smell the homemade eggnogg with brandy in it, on my dads breath....talkin loud and playin his Jazz christmas songs even louder...........
@Pixiedakiddo89 Ah.......... hardly anyone puts brandy in the eggnog these days.... oh and it smelled so good. :)" Don't know if your folks called them Tom & Jerry's...... mine did ! Those are some wonderful memories !!
@Patut1 Jackson Avenue?! I'm with you! I grew up on Prieur St. right of Jackson and this song reminds me of those great "back 0' town" Christmas' of years ago.
ALl of our loved ones...May They REST N Peace!
