@GreatHistorian1 Thomas Gottschalk is a famous radio- and television anchorman in Germany. No one knows him elsewhere...but in Germany everybody knows him as a nice guy.
Fools! Every Nazi symbol was taken as a souvenir or destroyed. Why didn't the Russians destroy the column? Because it's a beautiful piece of art.If there are any Germans that are nearly as nationalistic as these FOX news people they are under surveillance in Germany because they pose a threat to the peace and stability of a real democracy where idiots get ridicule and not a TV station.
(and consider that the power that the American president has is - relatively speaking - far bigger than what we are used to in Germany) - what I dislike about her is that I get the impression of her that she thinks she deserves the presidency. (...) I think that Clinton is quite a cold person, but maybe that is what is called for. And McCain, I don't know... I can't say much about him. But my gut goes with Obama. (loosely translated. my apologies.)
"From the gut feeling, Obama fascinates me. That's an eloquent, also apparently well-meaning guy that seems to want to bring America forward. Obviously, his approach is also a little naive, since it bases on an optimistic route: "we can do it." - "change." but that are things that I like, basically. And how he does that and how he fascinates the Americans, is one story. Clinton, whose agenda is the most pragmatic, and who is the one most fitting into the position of power
he basicly says that obama faszinates him and that he thinks that obama makes the impression as could he really bring the world further and do someting. And he also says that his idea "change" is a bit naive but still nice...and about hillary he says that shes the realistic one and that she has power but shes a bit too weird and scary. And he doesn´t know anything about McCain so he would say Obama is the best choice and hes excited to see what happens...
das is eh arm er macht im moment alles richtig es gibt aber nicht sofort fortschritte deshalb wird er wahrscheinlich nicht nochmal gewählt und der nachfolger heimst dann den ganzen ruhm ein
Remember back in May when media gushed and fawned over a huge crowd in Portland, Oregon -- supposedly gathered to hear the words of Barack Obama -- but chose not to report the free
concert given before his speech? Well, before the Obama spoke to a crowd in
Berlin Thursday, two popular German acts -- reggae artist Patrice and rock band Reamonn -- entertained the gathering audience. Will media report this tonight, or just gush and fawn
he's mostly saying that he endorses Obama because he has the special kindness and he's someone who people can believe in. He thinks that he's the best President for the united states.
About Clinton: he thinks that she's really cold and don't want the closerelationship with her followers. And McCain he thinks is really controversial, so basicelly he's saying that Obama is the best for this Job :)
I don't speak german. Can someone tell me what he's saying in english? I can only concur that he likes obama, he thinks clinton is a typical politician, and mccain frightens him. I only guess this from his expressions and a few german words that are similar to the english sound.
thomas gottschalk is probably germany's most well known TV show host. it's pretty dull waht he is saying: from his "gut feeling" he likes obama but thinls he is a bit "naive" because he operates with ideas like "change" and "yes we can". he thinks clinton is "frosty" and that she acts as if she had a right to the presidency. doesnt say anything about mccain.
basically he tries to act intelligent and well-informed which he sadly is not.
Who is this dude to express himself on so important a question?
