This pisses me off. Sony screwed Raimi over with Spiderman 3, and then because of all of the negative feedback they kicked him out and rebooted it. Sam Raimi had a vision for Spiderman, a 7 film series where it got darker, and gritter as the series went on (Similer to Harry Potter). He never wanted venom in there because he knew it would piss people off.
I find it unfair that Sony gets a second chance when it's their fault.
I wouldn't be opposed to a reboot, I just think it's too soon.
toby spiderman movies were bubblegum. They had to start over and make it darker/grittier just like they had to do with Batman probably... I also think they want a younger spiderman to work with over time and eventually move him into an Avengers sequel.

This movie makes me sad :( i DID read many spidey comics and watched all the old school cartoons and shows. its just not the same, spidey is no longer the nerd we've all grown up loving and they changed parts of his origin story and his costume.
i think if they actually wanna reboot the franchise and start with him in high school again, they should cast younger unknown actors and actresses to play the roles. i agree the raimi movies sucked too, but this is going to be just as bad if not worse
He's still a nerd. And I think the characters look what their ages are supposed to be. This is a very early trailer, they've just started post-production, and post is what can make a movie amazing or terrible.
So...is this going to be a First Person Spidey....that would be disappointing, i personally liked the comic becoz of the way spidey stretched his body, i learned to draw a lot about human anatomy from the comic. Atleast they could've made it an over the shoulder style. First person is not appealing to me.

@NightLocked the only character they had left to bring in was the lizard. and they teased throughout the last film series that it might happen, and they didnt have him as the villain in the 4th...Vulture and Black Cat were gonna be the films villians "not sure if Black Cat would've been a villain in the movie though" not to mention some of the villains did stupid things...hopefully this movie gives the lizard the publicity that he deserves

This movie makes me sad :( i DID read many spidey comics and watched all the old school cartoons and shows. its just not the same, spidey is no longer the nerd we've all grown up loving and they changed parts of his origin story and his costume.
i think if they actually wanna reboot the franchise and start with him in high school again, they should cast younger unknown actors and actresses to play the roles. i agree the raimi movies sucked too, but this is going to be just as bad if not worse

So...is this going to be a First Person Spidey....that would be disappointing, i personally liked the comic becoz of the way spidey stretched his body, i learned to draw a lot about human anatomy from the comic. Atleast they could've made it an over the shoulder style. First person is not appealing to me.

@TheAbelinc2 Xmen is owned by 20th century fox. unless that Fox goes out of business because of their owner's wrong doings i dont think there will be any type of Xmen involvement in future movies...Main example is that Captain America fought along side Wolverine in WW2, but Wolverine wasn't mentioned or had a cameo in the movie "Captain America: The First Avenger" but believe me id love to see all characters unite and fight Apocalypse
