@17lesliearies A version of it is back with Scott Pelley's newscast. As much as Katie Couric's show having Walter Cronkite announcing her name was a dig at Rather, the re-adoption of this theme could be construed as Pelley's deference to his former colleague.
I thought Neal Fox wrote Dan's theme.
