Oblivion: How to fix errors with 'Rens Beauty Pack' mod (Mystic Elf)

my problem is that it crashes every time I try to enter the Imperial City --- what gives? I got the face, I can play the game... but why can't I enter the cities?

@CJfrost1402 THANK YOU for responding I'm at my wits end. Thus far it crashes when I try to enter the Imperial City or go towards (not into) Weynon Priory.

I am running Ren's Beauty Pack, MMM 1.7 (AMAZING MOD!), Boethia Custom Race Mod, Shivering Isles, Knights, NEC Mystic Dark Elf.

Of MMM (Mart's Monster Mod) I am using the following mods: Durability & Damage / Less bone Loot / Resized Races / Gems & Gem dust / MMM.esm / MMM.esp

@CJfrost1402 Also, if it helps... the site that I DL'd from (StrategyInformer), someone else complained about the same issue months ago, but no resolution was ever posted.

My computer is new, bought only a few months ago. It's never been hooked to the internet, it's strictly for gaming. I have 4g of DDR3 ram, a 500g HD and running Windows 7. The Vid card is adequate, but not perfect. It has run straight Oblivion perfectly for 3 months now.

Thank you so much for this! I've been installing and re-installing the beauty pack several times without getting it to work, but I got it to work properly now after following this tutorial. I'll try the same method with my other races, this method should fix the problems I have with those too!

thanks man i LOVE you! it worked, no screw ups at all. except the guards dont come. but if you make urself a normal race, then let all the mean darkelf stuff happen, and then use the race cheat, turn back into ren

I have a small recurring error myself on here, I have the character model and everything else along with the hair and etc. But regardless of that my skin is always black along with the eyes. I'm guessing there is something missing because browsing the Haironly file and the Race File it seems like it has everything but the skin in the zip folder... So is TES NEXUS still there for you to download these missing files?

i got the hairs to work! what i was doing wrong is when i put the hairs textures and meshes into the data folder it asked if id like to merge them with the races meshes and textures and i thought that meant replacing it like zayaan warned but u have to in order to get the hairs to work!

I don't have any of these problems but my guy's hair (only if it's from the ren's beuty pack) is always black and looks very bad (you cant see seperate hairs, just a black rectangle). How can I fix that?

@shoval55555 Dude, if you have installed other mods prior to Rens' Beauty pack chances are there are going to be conflicts. So I suggest uninstall the game including it's remaining folders except for your save file then clean re-install it. After the installation, patch it if you have to but do not install mods yet. Then, before any other mods (just to be safe) install first Ren's Beauty pack precisely. Do not get the folder files mixed up. Good luck. :)

I would copy the 'Meshes', 'Textures', and 'Rens Pack.esp' to my Data folder with a heart and a half! But my problem is that there are already folders with the name 'Meshes' and 'Textures'. :(

Anyone else have the same issue? Would it be safe to rename the folders?

Well For Windows vista i just moved the Mesh/texture/Full for both All and the Just Hair into the Original Data folder and it worked out fine in case any of u are having trouble or its not working for vista

Right Did the exact same thing and just stuck whatever was in those other texture folders into the ren one. ANd for the hair just took the hair from both textures and meshes and stuck them in both correct ren folders. tried just the elf and it worked, now trying hair. Great guide btw =)

Didn't work. Problem 1. I already have a Textures and Meshes before even adding rens, problem 2 when the ESP file is in the folder i don't get the tick box forcing me to move it to the data folder. When i started oblivion and did create a new char they did was that they should be and whit right eyes and so on. I tried same thing whit the hair files,but then when i did do all and started oblivion and did create new again,but it was whitout hair and face.
