I used to hear Del a LOT on the Opry programs. He'd usually host a segment midway through the then 5 and a half hour program on WSM radio and sometimes he'd be a guest on another Opry member's segment. One of his regular routines was an impression of Johnny Cash singing "I Would Like To See You Again". Del would also do a Willie Nelson impression while a member of his band did the Waylon Jennings part. By this point in time it was the mid and late 1990's, though.
Great imitations. I can see Little Jimmy Dickens singing that great song just like that. Funny stuff and a real tribute (truly) to these two great artists who I know Del respected very much.
lol, he did Roy Acuff and Little Jimmy perfect, I just wish I was able to meet all three of these legends, especially Mr. Roy, but sadly he died when I was two years old, he is definitely the King of Country Music
Del was not only a master musician; he was a master imitator, as this video clearly shows! I loved it when he'd imitate other singers; he was so good at what he did! How I miss him! Wonderful vid; five huge stars!
OMG I just caught this and the Little Jimmy impression was the funniest thing I ever seen.

Amazing, Del is the best, both a Roy Acuff, Little Jimmie Dickens and of course as himself.
