im thinking about posting my version up but to make your life easier you could keep it in normal tuning and try using regular power chords (Ab, E, B#, F#) it keeps it localized

My guitar is in Drop D Tuning.

The beginning is me barring the D A D strings and just strumming the chord with a series of palm mutes. The solo is me just tapping the g minor scale on the B and E strings (use your ears... it shouldn't be too hard to figure out :-) ). The chorus is played by barring these frets and picking the D A D strings...
