Okay. So the formula for fractals is 2x=y, y=1, 2(1)=y,y=2,2(2)=y,y=4... But, as you said, "Infinity is just an idea), therefore if infinity were just an idea, then fractals could not exist. But, then again, even if infinity DID exist, and was in fact a "number" (number meaning the concept of having a total amount, therefore "number" would be inappropriate), we would have no way to measure it, because the simple concept of infinity is something that goes on forever... meaning we will never know.

Infinity is not an absolute, if it were an absolute, it would be reachable, since it has a value. Infinity however, does not have a value, only the idea that it is larger than all absolutes.

There is the idea of cardinality in infinite sets of things, for example the set of all real numbers is larger than the set of all natural numbers. This means that infinity cannot be absolute, because it can be larger than itself.

They never said what the first value of x was. The third equation (with one in parentheses) indicates the previous output (y) value is used as the input (x) of the same function, which is in turn evaluated for another output and so on. This is called recursion

I think you misunderstood the idea. The thing goes like this, you have some function lets call it F and F(x) = 2x, once you have a initial condition you can loop forever in order to have a result. The example in the video is not very didactic but if you really want to understand how recursivity works. Try to think about fibbonacci series and calculation of n! thoese examples are the best to begin with.
