does the camera have auto focus in this vid, couse the image is jumping abit in the tripod part?? and the secound one is, what did you use in the adaptor?? a focus screen or something else??
Great color and DOF, though I think your adapter causes serious vignetting, and that's why you had to cut off the sides and a bit of the top/bottom of the image. I'd love to see more, warts and all. Maybe some tri pod shot? In any case, beautiful job!
Good observation, blazerblast. The flaws of this 35mm adapter remind me of memories. The are never perfect and are kind of cloudy around the edges. Even the wobble/flickering is kind of nice.
It reminds me of those old 8mm home movies which look better than most home videos.
I have a 900 dollar camera with wide conversion lens and pro cinema vieuw but one thing i dont have and that is a foccusing ring: can you tell me how to do this , you wood help me a lot!! wood you please send me the drawings of this or just how to make this !!
I also had a lot of difficulty getting the alignment right. I found that making a transparent template with the 35mm film area marked (35xm24mm i think) placed over the area of the focusing screen directly behind the centre of the lens. It helps to have a display that allows underscan to ensure the are using the sweet-spot of the lens. I also find that vignetting varies amongst lenses.
Looks like a slight misalignment. Try pulling the camera back from the focusing screen, and zoom your camera in as far as the macro filter will allow. Hope this works.

vignetting gives the effect of someone's good memories
.tripods ruin that effect, free hand filming breings the audiance automaticly though someones eyes.

I'm sick of hearing people bitch about vignetting! It's a nice effect that a lot of films have.

Wow. It's cool cuz, like, there's DOF. Cool. When there's DOF it's, like, like in a movie. And that's cool. GET A FUCKING TRIPOD.
