  • PRB responds: @JellyBeanSoda: The (crude) birth rate is the number of births per 1,000 population. The (crude) death rate is the number of deaths per 1,000 population. The difference between the two is the rate of natural increase. If there is no migration, then that is also the growth rate. If there is migration, then the net amount of immigration per 1,000 population is added or subtracted to/from the rate of natural increase.

  • I'm from america, my maternal grandfather had fourteen siblings, my father had six, I have two. I don't plan on having more than two children myself. Its iinteresting to see how the mindset has changed over the decades.
