There are four recognized requirements for the institution of marriage in the U.S.
1. Must be adults
2. Cannot be closely related (i.e. mom/son, dad/daughter, etc.)
3. Must be a couple (no polygamy)
4. Male/Female only
"Gay marriage" proponents wish to destroy requirement #4. So why does that make #1-#3 also not subject to revision? Please explain my brilliant "pro-gay marriage" friends.

Scientific research and principles were not the basis for the removal from DSM-II. This prevents the medical community from properly treating this group of mentally ill people. After they won the right to vote, voting didn't become "redefined", the right to vote simply expanded to include this previously excluded group. Go read a book called Same-Sex Unions in Pre-Modern Europe where there is plenty of evidence for a mass for gay wedding's one which took place a couple centuries ago in the Basilica of St John Lateran, the cathedral seat of the Pope as Bishop of Rome. There are four recognized requirements for the institution of marriage in the U.S.
1. Must be adults
2. Cannot be closely related (i.e. mom/son, dad/daughter, etc.)
3. Must be a couple (no polygamy)
4. Male/Female only
