yeah i miss old singapore lifts... at least they got character.
nowadays the new lifts are all so mass produced :(
thanks for videoing them! really really appreciate it.
so the upgraded lifts are like any normal HDB lift?
our new HDB lifts are so much like those in japan and korea though.

Yes, basically whatever HDB builds after 2000.

how do you find the new IFE lifts?
i thought it was nice at first but i heard a lot of bad things about it... in my opinion i really dislike the red color standardised LED :(
Anything that's made in China is bound to be criticized regardless of quality. Other than the panoramic design, there isn't really anything unusual.
i found the buttons that light up when the doors open quite unique, along with the ceiling lights and the differently shaped indicator on the other floors.
I think it's a standard specification now. ULift have them as well.
oh yeah! i heard of ULift...
what's ULift anyways?
United Premas.
what does it mean by 'commercial HDB installations?
i know around paya lebar there is one like this, but the mitsubishi lift is has a digital panel instead, and is dimmer.
Commercial means that they're shops and offices, rather than residential homes. I recall the Paya Lebar, but I'm not sure if they're still there.
they should be... i've not been back in singapore for one year.
how are the upgraded lifts like?
Boring. Two see-through doors, beeping non-stop, standard LED indicator... It's race against time to record elevators as they get LUP-ed enmasse.
