@motu34 no they werent. They had a higher top speed because of the different regulations, but the 2010 cars are have better braking and cornering than almost any year in F1 except (maybe) 2006. A 2010 car would destroy a 2003 F1 car around almost all circuits bar Monza.
Afterall the aggro further down this list of comments, we can all agree that it's great we don't have to listen to the useless commentator that is James Allen.
everywhere theres a schumi vid, you fuckers are arguing. those days were the shit, yes. michael was a cheater, yes. he admitted it though, so its all good, hes just a cheat fuckbag. SENNA is dead, so its easy to say he wouldve beaten schumi, cuz it will never happen again.
You fucker stop your comment..who cares your comment..history will always say who he is...I know some people are dumb..no body cannot change their stuff...after seeing the video you cannot make it means..u are one idiot..
First of all you stop idiot. I dont want to see here arrogant words on schumi...First learn to respect the great ones.. I dont need to proove you with old stats that schumi is the best driver..Just take 2006 Chinese qualifying in the wets....Hope you know what happened..With a struggling BridgeStone...He is the only person came top 10...Do you think ferrari did sme nasty rules there...
@krrishv Don't forget at the 2006 end of the season in Brasil. Schumi qualified in 10th and gained 2 positions at the start. He was then hit and spun out losing several places. Next he was hit again and he had to go to the pits. Even after all that he still managed to finish 4th in the race...
Good point. Raikkönen has been a F1 driver since 2001, but in 2008, he was driving like a rookie with his mistakes. Hamilton was in his 2nd season, so it makes his championship more remarkable. And i'm not afraid to admit that i could end up being wrong with my judgement of Hamilton. Ex. I never held possible that Massa would fight for a championship. I'm just being sceptical, drivers like Montoya and Villeneuve had great starts to their careers as well. But i agree to wait and see what happens.
You know what, just because we have different opinions doesn't give you the right to call me ignorant, just because you think you're right, so let's get that clear, alright?
Hamilton did win the title under extreme pressure, but you can't forget that 2008 was exciting, but also filled with mistakes by the championship contenders. Nobody deserved to actually become a champion. Massa, Raikkonen and Hamilton could be brilliant in one race, and then mess things up in the next.
Alonso's blocking was a direct reaction on Hamilton not following orders. It's not a smart thing to do, but in his eyes, it was more of a "what goes around, comes around". Ok, Hamilton wasn't being privileged in the beginning off the season, but as soon as Hamilton and Alonso started arguing with eachother, the team made a decision and they chose Hamilton over Alonso. Hungary just highlighted the problems.
Hamilton wasn't following orders like in Hungary, but because he's Dennis' golden boy, he still got privileged over Alonso.
Brundle beat Schumi several times in 1992. Fantastic. What's your point?
You say that Hamilton improved his race pace. I really don't see much improvements from that driver in 2007. He still makes the same mistakes. I'd say Hamilton's [only] strength would be his ability to pass. He's a great racer.
By the way, funny how you change from using words like rofl to infantile.
Of course not, i was being cynical. Plus Alonso was on his own in that team of McLaren.
When someone has the exceptional talent Schumacher possessed, you see that immediately.
In Hamilton i just can't see that. Already explained why. Yes, this is a different time in F1, but two seasons are enough to see a race profile. Hamilton isn't smart enough and not able to drive on the limit on a consistent base. All legends have one thing in common: they could race on limits others couldn't.
Schumacher has everything, intelligence, consistency.
When Schumi started, he broke into the top-10 in a Jordan and he outshined every teammate including former world champions.
By saying "you can't judge people so quickly, or you could end up looking like a fool later on", i might as well call Adrian Sutil the new Schumacher.
Besides, i don't care if i would end up wrong, i have a opinion about Hamilton and i could be wrong with my opinion about him.
How is it unfair? My opinion about Hamilton is based on his potential and i already said that he doesn't have the potential to become as good as Schumacher.
The MP4-24 isn't even a bad car, but the thing is that almost every team brought out a very good car. Now that Hamilton's car is not a championship winning car, Kovalainen is faster in qualifiying. If Heikki wasn't so unlucky, he would have more points than Lewis.
Actually, i wasn't watching when Schumacher debuted in 1991, since that was the year i was born. So i can't judge that. But when i look at Hamilton, i see a racer, but not a Schumacher. Schumacher has everything, intelligence, consistency, the ability to drive qualification laps for a long period of time (Hungary for example).
Did you ever see a long period where Schumacher lost his form and was out of shape? No. Schumi was never out of shape, Schumi always performed, Schumi always delivered.
it's easier to go to the limit today, the safety is extream, you can't say that!!!
and fangio didn't drove touring cars ¬¬
he drove all kind of cars, and wordwide is remembered for his era on f1 in FORMULA cars, whit a lot of power, 0 grip, 0 brakes, 0 protection, wach one or two of that races
It is not schumi or senna, they were both the best driver in their time , you can`t compare them. Who knows how many Championships senna had won if he had survived
I hope Button wins nearly every race this year (currently 4 from 5) and blitzes Schu's record - then you moronic Schu fanboys will be left with just 2 choices - either ;
1. Button is better than Schui,
or
2. Stats don't mean jackshit as its all down to the car. Therefore Senna was better than Schu.
I have to admit I wasnt even around for the Senna era but Schumi proved that he is the best F1 champion in the business, even now when u see him on the pitwall he still looks like he keeps very much in shape. If Kimi or Massa broke there leg for example I bet Schumi could jump into that car and start putting the lap times in, oh how I would love to see that :D
A video game is not reality. When I used to play Formula 1 games, I used to go 2 or 3 seconds faster than real F1 cars, but that was only virtual, your body is almost effortless. 1:08.337 on a real F1 car was IMPRESSIVE!!! On Formula One 2005, I did a 1:12 in Imola, but that was nothing compared to the 1:19/1:20 Schumi did for real in 2004
First of all did Senna ever Raced in a car like Schumi. When schumi started his carrier he did not have a good car. But Senna always won in good car. You better know the stats properly.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You Fuckin idiot - Senna's first car was the Toleman - an absolute shitox backmarker compared to Schui's 1st car - the Beneetton - a clear midfield car.
Senna always won in a good car? Excuse me? Heard of Donington '93 much? Or any other victory that year? How about his Lotus days?
I had these Senna/Schumi fights. Everyone who gets in on them is an idiot. They were both out-of-this-world racers and THERE IS NO WAY to know who was better, especially in light of the fact that Senna died just as he looked set to bag a few titles for Williams.
The car become best car because of the devolopment work by schumi.. why it was not a best car before schumi landed ferrari. Also FYI..Brundle is Senna's fan that he had said already...so i wont count his words as correct.
On top of that, Brundle raced Senna pretty close in F3, whereas Michael was usually a second quicker than Brundle in qualifying when they were teammates. Nobody likes to get beaten that badly, and saying Senna is the best makes him look good since he challenged him in F3.
Complete bullshit - it's easier to be close to someone in F3 as it's easier! so even if you were correct there, it's a different context - and you aren't correct anyway -Senna convincingly beat Brundle in F3 and Brindle was pretty close to Schui in F1 (he beat him fair and square sometimes and was described by commentator's as Schui's best team-mate, despite no wins), so the context difference I mention further stretches the relative difference between Senna and Schui.
Wrong again. Brundle finished a close second to Senna in the championship in 1983. That is a fact. Also, since you want to talk about context, just remember that when Michael was outqualifying Brundle by a second a lap, it was his first full season. He was new to a number of the tracks since Sportscars didn't race at all the F1 tracks.
Lol, listen to mate mallamoozoo, he's right on the money. Brundle had his hands full of Senna in 83, and he beat him. Brundle was never a great driver, just a no nonsense logical racer, and even though, he gave Schumacher more than a good run for his money in 1992. Brundle was the only teammate throughout all his career that gave him a real challenge. He beat him correctly on several occasions, and I remember Schu going off Imola 92 trying to keep up with the quicker Brundle....what do you say?
There was 7 races that year when both of them finished, and Michael was ahead in 4 of them. He was also ahead more often when he or Brundle DNF'd. Yeah, he ran him close, but as I said, Michael was in his first full season, while Brundle was in his prime.
Well, if you are a so-called superdriver like Schumacher(which he was), Brundle shouldn't have been that close to him. When Senna came to Lotus in 85, he COMPLETELY laminated poor Elio de Angelis, who was at the time also in his prime, and compared to Brundle, a superior driver. So you see my friend, Senna is in a class of his own compared to Schumacher, 2 different drivers and dimensions.
1985 was Senna's second full season. He had enough experience with the tracks by then to mount a serious challenge to his teammate. Not at all similar to MS/Brundle.
Come of it - Schui had 1/3 of a season in 91 and a few of the tracks he missed were covered in sports cars. So in 92 Schui had as much experience as Senna in 85. And as lazerpod said - Senna BLEW away DeAngelis (a GP winner) Schui marginally beat Brundle (never a winner).
You know that Brundle was never in a car that could win races, so your ignorance shows your desperation. Schumi had as much experience as Senna did in 1985? LMFAO!! Give me a break. "A few of the tracks were covered in sportscars".......wow.
Another ignorant post from your feather brain. Brundle had a car capable of winning for 2 seasons:1992 and 1994. He was never a great talent. Your Schumacher fantrip is weak, but it's not your fault, you're the result of the environement you grew up in(dumpster).
Yet another pathetic post from a Senna worshipper. The McLaren in 1994 was NOT a race-winning caliber car, and the only car that was capable of winning races in 1992 was Williams. They only lost when they faltered. Your stupidity is incredible.
Weak comeback(Yawn)....Brundle finish second in Monaco chasing your cheating and illegal clown, you amuse me gasping for air like that. Weak, yet amusing like a tool, but whatever you dish out, I and millions other people just laugh and feel soo good, I look down on you and I piss, end of discussion puppet.
LOL you are funny. You say my "comeback" was weak, but you can find nothing to say I was wrong. You are pathetic, and you are proving it with every post. Go pray to your god Senna, stupid fuck.

In fact Schui had MORE seat time in high powered cars under his belt in 91 than Senna in 84- he spent ALL of 91 in sports cars PLUS on top of that he also had 1/3 of 91 season (about 3 months) in F1.
And by the start of 92- he'd been racing and/or winter testing in F1 for 8 months - enough to get to know the people and the circus.
Dont bullshit that he was some kind of rookie in 92. Apart from Villeneuve in 96 and Hamilton in 07, Schui had the most prepared 1st full season ever!
Yes, he got to know the people in his team, but what does that have to do with learning tracks he's never been too? Nothing. F1 didn't test at all the tracks so your theory is shit........yet again.
Sportscars are SO different than openwheel cars, and a "racing driver", which you claim to be, would know that. And Michael WAS a rookie in 1992. As you yourself had said earlier, he had only been to a few F1 tracks in sportscars in addition to the 6 races he raced at the end of 1991.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Wrong - relative to F3 , Sports cars are not so different to F1. Its a clear advantage having a year of experience in very high powered cars (in fact its the reason Schuis manager Willi Weber made him do it.) Only Hamilton and Villeneuve were better prepared "rookies" before their first full season.
I stand by my assertion that Schui was MORE experienced by the start of 92 than Senna was at the start of 85.
What a moron's rationale; "He is a fan so I am not counting it." Of course he's a fan - BECAUSE he rate him #1, - not the other way around you moron! By your retard reasoning then, NOBODY's opion counts because EVERYONE is a fan - typical retarded Schui fan - complete inabilty to think clearly. Of course - its a pre-requisite in order to believe Schui was the best.
Also, Ferrari WAS the best car before Schui landed - in 1990, 5 years b4 Schu. It wasnt the best car until 99 - 3 years after. So it was nothing to do with Schui - it was just statistically their turn for the best car- which is how it happenes in F1- the best car cycles around over different years. It was Rory Byrne and Ross Brawn that developed the car you moron- engineers and technicians DEVELOP and MAKE the cars. Drivers DRIVE. Confusing their roles shows no insight whatsoever into the sport.
Schumi comes in around 5 to 10 of all time according to most experts, including me. Senna Prost Fangio Clark were all clearly better. And probably Villeneuve Mansell Stewart Lauda were too. (Schui just did more races than any of them and FAR more often had the best car - so you should ignore his meaningless stats like all experts do.)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You Schui fangirls are about to discover with Hamilton's fangirls what Senna disciples have experienced the past 10 years with you lot - wildly exagerated, blindly-biased, out of context, inconsistent claims of being the greatest of all-time. There are already noobs saying that - clearly ridiculous but not much more so than Schui noobs over the past 10 years. Hamilton is, so far NOTHING compared to Schui and Schui never was anything compared to Senna.
I Know Senna was great...but you cannot say that Schumi was nothng compared to Senna....Thats a very wrong statement. What Senna did...Senna Was always racing in a good car..When he made switch also he went for Williams..Did he did anythng like Schumi take ferrari and bringing them dominating F1...Driving the best car and Winning is nothng....
Schumi comes in around 5 to 10 of all time according to most experts, including me. Senna Prost Fangio Clark were all clearly better. And probably Villeneuve Mansell Stewart Lauda were too. LMFAO! You're hilarious. Schumi is mostly top 5 on people's lists, not 5-10. Continuing to make shit up just to make Senna look good compared to Schumi? Pathetic. Schumi's legend is secure, no matter what you say. And Gilled better than Michael? The way Gilles drove GUARANTEED that he would NEVER be a World Champion. He crashed too much and took too many risks. Being consistent is how you win, and Gilles was not consistent. He was just braver than the rest, and you need more than that to be WC.
WRONG! - the CARS Gilles drove guaranteed he would never be champion. He drove at 100% because thats what's needed in shitbox cars. Schui too would have won almost nothing in Gilles cars.
AT ABSOLUTE BEST, Schui is 5 and most likely 10.
watch?v=jmEVJRpFKWA
Schui at number 10. This is an informed list by a very experienced observer of some 30 years.
Murray Walker rates him top 5, and he has been an "observer" for just as long. IN YOUR OPINION, Schumacher is #5 at best, but so many people rate him 1-5. Get over it.
Villeneuve was 100% racer, not a stats boy like your so-called god Schumacher. Villeneuve didn't care about points or championships, he drove with his passion and heart, for him and for the paying public, the fans. This guy was above all, like Senna, a human being. Villeneuve was sort of a daredevil, agreed, but never had a car worthy of his immense talent. Only in 1982, the C2 was finally worth a title, an english car(Postlewaithe). Schumacher'r rep is in the doghouse, and Brundle is right!
LOL you are pathetic. I don't worship Schumacher like you Senna fanboys do. Let me guess, you think Senna ramming Prost was justified? For your info, I detest Schumacher for Jerez 97, so unlike you Senna worshippers, I see the good and the bad in my favorite driver. I'm not as pathetic as you fanboys are.
And thank you for proving my point on Gilles. Not caring about points or championships? If he didn't care, how did you expect him to win one?

@krrishv Don't forget at the 2006 end of the season in Brasil. Schumi qualified in 10th and gained 2 positions at the start. He was then hit and spun out losing several places. Next he was hit again and he had to go to the pits. Even after all that he still managed to finish 4th in the race...

the people who hate ferrari and schumi are the brits and aussies, ok they have a major influence in f1.

CaboArmorKing 2 years ago
You know what, just because we have different opinions doesn't give you the right to call me ignorant, just because you think you're right, so let's get that clear, alright?
Hamilton did win the title under extreme pressure, but you can't forget that 2008 was exciting, but also filled with mistakes by the championship contenders. Nobody deserved to actually become a champion. Massa, Raikkonen and Hamilton could be brilliant in one race, and then mess things up in the next.
CaboArmorKing 2 years ago
Alonso's blocking was a direct reaction on Hamilton not following orders. It's not a smart thing to do, but in his eyes, it was more of a "what goes around, comes around". Ok, Hamilton wasn't being privileged in the beginning off the season, but as soon as Hamilton and Alonso started arguing with eachother, the team made a decision and they chose Hamilton over Alonso. Hungary just highlighted the problems.
CaboArmorKing 2 years ago
Hamilton wasn't following orders like in Hungary, but because he's Dennis' golden boy, he still got privileged over Alonso.
Brundle beat Schumi several times in 1992. Fantastic. What's your point?
You say that Hamilton improved his race pace. I really don't see much improvements from that driver in 2007. He still makes the same mistakes. I'd say Hamilton's [only] strength would be his ability to pass. He's a great racer.
By the way, funny how you change from using words like rofl to infantile.
CaboArmorKing 2 years ago
LOL under what conditions did Brundle come even CLOSE to Schumacher's pace?!?
buggable 2 years ago 3
Why are you asking me?
CaboArmorKing 2 years ago
Because us said "Brundle beat Schumi several times in 1992. Fantastic. What's your point?"
buggable 2 years ago
And the problem is?
CaboArmorKing 2 years ago
Of course not, i was being cynical. Plus Alonso was on his own in that team of McLaren.
When someone has the exceptional talent Schumacher possessed, you see that immediately.
In Hamilton i just can't see that. Already explained why. Yes, this is a different time in F1, but two seasons are enough to see a race profile. Hamilton isn't smart enough and not able to drive on the limit on a consistent base. All legends have one thing in common: they could race on limits others couldn't.
CaboArmorKing 2 years ago
Let me go back to what i said earlier:
Schumacher has everything, intelligence, consistency.
When Schumi started, he broke into the top-10 in a Jordan and he outshined every teammate including former world champions.
By saying "you can't judge people so quickly, or you could end up looking like a fool later on", i might as well call Adrian Sutil the new Schumacher.
Besides, i don't care if i would end up wrong, i have a opinion about Hamilton and i could be wrong with my opinion about him.
CaboArmorKing 2 years ago
How is it unfair? My opinion about Hamilton is based on his potential and i already said that he doesn't have the potential to become as good as Schumacher.
The MP4-24 isn't even a bad car, but the thing is that almost every team brought out a very good car. Now that Hamilton's car is not a championship winning car, Kovalainen is faster in qualifiying. If Heikki wasn't so unlucky, he would have more points than Lewis.
CaboArmorKing 2 years ago
Actually, i wasn't watching when Schumacher debuted in 1991, since that was the year i was born. So i can't judge that. But when i look at Hamilton, i see a racer, but not a Schumacher. Schumacher has everything, intelligence, consistency, the ability to drive qualification laps for a long period of time (Hungary for example).
Did you ever see a long period where Schumacher lost his form and was out of shape? No. Schumi was never out of shape, Schumi always performed, Schumi always delivered.

The car become best car because of the devolopment work by schumi.. why it was not a best car before schumi landed ferrari. Also FYI..Brundle is Senna's fan that he had said already...so i wont count his words as correct.
krrishv 3 years ago
On top of that, Brundle raced Senna pretty close in F3, whereas Michael was usually a second quicker than Brundle in qualifying when they were teammates. Nobody likes to get beaten that badly, and saying Senna is the best makes him look good since he challenged him in F3.
UltimateWheelman 3 years ago
Complete bullshit - it's easier to be close to someone in F3 as it's easier! so even if you were correct there, it's a different context - and you aren't correct anyway -Senna convincingly beat Brundle in F3 and Brindle was pretty close to Schui in F1 (he beat him fair and square sometimes and was described by commentator's as Schui's best team-mate, despite no wins), so the context difference I mention further stretches the relative difference between Senna and Schui.
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
Wrong again. Brundle finished a close second to Senna in the championship in 1983. That is a fact. Also, since you want to talk about context, just remember that when Michael was outqualifying Brundle by a second a lap, it was his first full season. He was new to a number of the tracks since Sportscars didn't race at all the F1 tracks.
UltimateWheelman 3 years ago
Lol, listen to mate mallamoozoo, he's right on the money. Brundle had his hands full of Senna in 83, and he beat him. Brundle was never a great driver, just a no nonsense logical racer, and even though, he gave Schumacher more than a good run for his money in 1992. Brundle was the only teammate throughout all his career that gave him a real challenge. He beat him correctly on several occasions, and I remember Schu going off Imola 92 trying to keep up with the quicker Brundle....what do you say?
lazerpod66 3 years ago
There was 7 races that year when both of them finished, and Michael was ahead in 4 of them. He was also ahead more often when he or Brundle DNF'd. Yeah, he ran him close, but as I said, Michael was in his first full season, while Brundle was in his prime.
UltimateWheelman 3 years ago
Well, if you are a so-called superdriver like Schumacher(which he was), Brundle shouldn't have been that close to him. When Senna came to Lotus in 85, he COMPLETELY laminated poor Elio de Angelis, who was at the time also in his prime, and compared to Brundle, a superior driver. So you see my friend, Senna is in a class of his own compared to Schumacher, 2 different drivers and dimensions.
lazerpod66 3 years ago
1985 was Senna's second full season. He had enough experience with the tracks by then to mount a serious challenge to his teammate. Not at all similar to MS/Brundle.
UltimateWheelman 3 years ago
Come of it - Schui had 1/3 of a season in 91 and a few of the tracks he missed were covered in sports cars. So in 92 Schui had as much experience as Senna in 85. And as lazerpod said - Senna BLEW away DeAngelis (a GP winner) Schui marginally beat Brundle (never a winner).
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
You know that Brundle was never in a car that could win races, so your ignorance shows your desperation. Schumi had as much experience as Senna did in 1985? LMFAO!! Give me a break. "A few of the tracks were covered in sportscars".......wow.
UltimateWheelman 3 years ago
Another ignorant post from your feather brain. Brundle had a car capable of winning for 2 seasons:1992 and 1994. He was never a great talent. Your Schumacher fantrip is weak, but it's not your fault, you're the result of the environement you grew up in(dumpster).
lazerpod66 3 years ago
Yet another pathetic post from a Senna worshipper. The McLaren in 1994 was NOT a race-winning caliber car, and the only car that was capable of winning races in 1992 was Williams. They only lost when they faltered. Your stupidity is incredible.

Apart from Villeneuve in 96 and Hamilton in 07, Schui had the most prepared 1st full season ever!
mallamoozoo 3 years ago
Yes, he got to know the people in his team, but what does that have to do with learning tracks he's never been too? Nothing. F1 didn't test at all the tracks so your theory is shit........yet again.
Sportscars are SO different than openwheel cars, and a "racing driver", which you claim to be, would know that. And Michael WAS a rookie in 1992. As you yourself had said earlier, he had only been to a few F1 tracks in sportscars in addition to the 6 races he raced at the end of 1991.
UltimateWheelman 3 years ago

Wrong - relative to F3 , Sports cars are not so different to F1. Its a clear advantage having a year of experience in very high powered cars (in fact its the reason Schuis manager Willi Weber made him do it.) Only Hamilton and Villeneuve were better prepared "rookies" before their first full season.
I stand by my assertion that Schui was MORE experienced by the start of 92 than Senna was at the start of 85.

mallamoozoo 3 years ago
Also, Ferrari WAS the best car before Schui landed - in 1990, 5 years b4 Schu. It wasnt the best car until 99 - 3 years after. So it was nothing to do with Schui - it was just statistically their turn for the best car- which is how it happenes in F1- the best car cycles around over different years. It was Rory Byrne and Ross Brawn that developed the car you moron- engineers and technicians DEVELOP and MAKE the cars. Drivers DRIVE. Confusing their roles shows no insight whatsoever into the sport.
