This song makes me think of my Aunt. She HAD breast cancer. She is a survivor, and being as close to her as I am, I have learned through her to never give up, to follow my dreams. She is a real inspiration to me, and because of her, I know that if ever I need to, I will Fight Like A Girl <3
Love this song. Play it all the time when I need to cheer myself up. Nothing is stronger then the courage and strength of a woman. Remember that ladies. :)
my little sister is 8 years old... she has cancer... now she can never have a daughter... i was crying with my mom in the waiting room to get it removed from her leg, she came out i was holding her hand. she looked up at my mom and said "Mommy, Sarah, Dont cry. I fight like a girl, rember Sarah," she looked up at me, "rember what u said when i was getting made fun of as school? Maddy fight like a girl! be brave and fight it!,"
This song is by far my most favorite!!! My mother adopted me when i was two weeks old and raised me on her own. A month before I gave birth to my daughter my mother found out she had breast cancer. Doctors and there statistics said she would have a 90% chance of it reoccuring throughout her body i am glad to say that it has been four years and no signs of cancer... She is my hero and I truly believe that she or we as woman can make it through anything if we just "Fight like a girl!!"
Story of my life, I'm so proud of myself and I'm so glad to be a fighter. Well I don't have cancer or anything like that but I've never given up during the "cancerous" stages of my life. I ignore the people who judge me and I love my life despite the ugly parts. I'll never stop fighting to show people that I am a person that shouldn't be messed with cause I'm strong enough to go on.
my lil cuosin is 7 years old and in february of 2011 they founf a tumor the size of a golf ball in the back of her head. This really got to me cuz shes practically my little sister. So now her and her mom is in memphis tennesse while her brother lives with is in iowa. Shes in st. judes they are taking really good care of her but when i heard this song i started balling my eyes out then now i think of her and say to my self shes fighting like a girl and getting through it and it makes me happy!!!
My stepmother was diagnosed in March of 2010. She made magnets, and was famous all over my town. She went through Chemo Therapy and Radiation. Sadly, in August of 2010, Flora lost her hair. It was a sad moment. We were on our third day at Disney world in Florida. We went to the Relay For Life, the theme was "Fight Like A Girl". We did it this year, and the theme was "Bras For Breast Cancer Awareness". The last bit of radiation was January 2011. The hair is growing! Remember: FIGHT LIKE A GIRL!!
My best friend told me I needed to hear this song. I realized why...because I am the one fighting like a girl. In Dec. of 2010 I was told I had stage one cancer by May when I had my surgery my husband and I (newly married) was told it was stage 3. We have 5 children all together (2 are mine biologically). I've always been a fighter in life but this is the toughest battle I have had to fight. Even when I was in the Army it wasn't near as tough as battling cancer!
this song inspires me i love it <3 i love country too :)) i love it. i grew up with this music and i don't know why peopel hate on it so mutch. the peopel who dislikeds this are stupid! go back to your pop or rap or whatever you listen to! and stop hateing on country!! couse you guys hate it when people who hate your music hate on it so stop hate on our music then well stop hateing on yours....
I cry everytime I hear this song. You odn't know how much it hurts to be bullied my entire life and not be able to do anything about it but cry and take it. Thank you.
Great Song!! I have been bullied my whole life and this song helped me get through the rough times!! I love it!! I am a song writer and this really inspired me!!!
This song reminds me of my little cousin Ava Nichols. She was diagnosed with cancer at age 4. It hit her all at once, one day she was fine, then the next she couldn't hardly walk. It was later discovered she had a brain tumor & there was nothing they could do. She is still fighting to this day & her &her parents are the strongest people I know. She has changed many peoples lives, especially mine. I pray for her every day in hope of a miracle. ♥ So everyone please pray for Little Miss Ava! ♥
This song reminded me of my great grandmother who passed away from cancer. However, it reinforces my will to fight like a girl. And that's just what I will do. Thumbs up if you agree.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of days ago. Friends kept telling me to "fight like a girl" and I didn't get it. Then someone shared this link with me and I was WOWED. This has become my theme song. Words to live by.
Screw haterz I could care less about what other people think of me. Yeah I'm 13yrs old and I'm tired of people judging me for who I am... Whats wrong with me??? NOTHING! I'm gonna give those haterz hell and take names you can makes sure of it!
this song makes me feel strong for those battlin this awful disease. a friend of my family has been battlin breast cancer for yrs on end. she has 3 kids. for a couple weeks shes been livin on a vent, and they turned it off yesterday so shes goin to die :'( she was such a strong woman so brave and luvin.
RIP Mrs Macy luved for eva never forgotten <3 <3 fly be free; free to fly as high as u wish <3
To anyone who's battled cancer or to anywho who knows someone whos fought that fight, you guys are strong. I could never imagine that pain people go through each day battling cancer. I'm sorry for anybody who has lost a close loved one...A girl from a town over passed away after battling since her 7th grade year. I didn't know her, but it hurts to see how much she was loved, and now she's gone...RIP Christina.
This song really speaks to me, I'm going through a struggle right now, and I'm also kind of disappointed, thinking I'll never be 'one of the boys' and always being second best to the opposite sex. Well, now I know I have to fight like a girl and never give in. Wish me luck!
this song always makes me cry my moma dided from cancer but i love this song we really dont know what we have untill it is all gone and life is one of thoese thing we take for granit
i love this song. I went to a camp that was for cancer patients and siblings and this was the theme song. I cry everytime i listen to this song. My 5 year old sister has leukemia cancer it is so hard but everytime i listen to this song i get very motivated!
@macaleynelson2012 I'm sorry that your sister has leukemia. My younger brother died 22 years ago and to this day it still hurts. He was 9, I was 10 when he died, he lived with it for 3 1/2 years. I sure wish they had a camp for me and my family to go to. I'm from the island of Guam.
i lost my mom to breast cancer october 24, 2009 and this song makes me think of how hard she fought the battle right to the end. my heart goes out to all who know someone or are doing it themselves fighting the evil disease called cancer. much love from me and lots of prayers.
This song is so powerful that it makes everyone stronger knowing that their loved ones or themselves are fighting cancer. I dedicate this song to those who are fighting, then the ones who won, and the family members who losed loved one to this terrible disease<3
i love this song my 2 cousins(girls) died of cancer and i was diagnosed with it but i won the fight so i love to think of my family i lost to cancer when i listen to this song
u all might not belive me but Kelly is my cousin! Kelly is the singer! I LUV HER! we dont see each other offten i have only seen her abt twice well in my memory.
I just found out tonight that my grandmother has cancer in her liver, thyroid, and possibly other places...I know its not breast cancer...but still...she's one of the best people I know...always helping others...she has lived on her own for 17 years b/c my grandpa died of cancer when I was one...I love her so much. Its even harder b/c my uncle on the other side of the family died from cancer last November. I'm praying I don't have to lose someone else.
@MusicGirl120 i know how ya feal my grandmother went through cancer twice she had breast cancer when i 5 i never new but i would notice my grandmother and my moher sittin in the living room and she just went through cancer my thoughts and pryaers our with u just dont give up okay
her husband and babies and says this is just another test God gave me and i know just how to handle this saying hold my head high dont ever let this define the light in my eyes love myself self give them hell im gonna take on this world ill just stand and be strong and ill never give up and ill conqore with love then ill fight like girl oh yea
of the boys oh no she could of gave up on her anbishone and spent the reast of her life just wishing instead she listen to her mommas voise saying hold your head high dont ever let this define the light in your eyes love your sef give them hell you gonna take on this world you just stand and be strong and then fight like girl oh her style gras kick ass and take names 10 years of climing that ladder all the money and power dont matter when the doctor said the caner spread she holds on tight to

okay....i love the song always have but this is one of the worst made videos because the camera isn't focusing on them. it's like it has issues. but i still love the song though/
We had a fundraiser for Breast Cancer at our school this past week. A girl sang this song after the show. One of the community's favorite daughters passed away from the terrible disease in June 2010. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. Her strength and love gave everybody hope after her passing that one day a cure would be found.
Simply amazing. This song is a testament to the fight many people must and have fought in their lives. It tells of the hope we carry within ourselves. That inner strength that exists in every person and comes out when it is truly needed. God Bless those the have fought, are fighting and will fight this battle.
Last night at around 10:00 P.m. i was laughing and joking with my crush and homecoming date on the phone. What I didnt realize was that an hour and a half later my worst fear would be realized. At 11;45 or so cancer took my mother from my twin brother and I at 15 years old. Goodbe Mommy. We miss you so much already.
Love this song...I remember being in elementary school and have kids running away when ever I tried to join them because I wasn't cool enough. This song truely makes me feel impowered when back then I felt small and did everything I could to be invisible.
this song is fuckin GAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
this brings tears to my eyes... my sister has been fighting the battle of breast cancer for the past three years.... we take everything we have for granted and dont realize what have it until it comes back and bites us in the asses.
@tennischick1630 I know how you feel. My mom might have breast cancer and I always took her for granted and was rude and now im trying to spend as much time with her as possible.
The lyrics "I'll never let this define the light in my eyes" take a whole new meaning when you become extremely sick. This song inspired me to continue with my life after developing a virus in my brain. This occurred 7 months ago and while many kids would have taken a break from school in order to get better, I am now finishing my 10th grade year with As and Bs.
i love Bomshel because they showed me who i am and what i want to do and what i need to change!!! i was so excited today when i saw and heard them singing this song!!!
I had the privalege of seeing these two live in concert last night. They were awesome!!!!!I was able to meet them in person and take a few pix with em!!
Kristy and Kelley... You girls rock. I love your sound and and your looks. No doubt, you girls are gonna top the charts and pick up a plethora of awards.
I just know that I seem to notice things in people that others don't. I think as a society we are far too quick to pass judgement on someone. A lot of people that do that are the religious people where I live. I'm the freak because well...I'm not religious. Sorta outside the box. I don't really belong where I live but once I have a degree I will prolly move.
@RecycledDreams i agree n ur a not a freak. im worse than u although we do share something bit in a common, not christian or catholic like the ameriacan society. sry if i offend anybody but i was raised as not to believe in giod, i am atheist.
So true hun and sometimes theres nothing you can really do. She sounds like a really strong person and honestly it's amazing the things someone can live through. One day maybe she'll be a social worker or something and help people that are going through what she is or something similar. I'm sorry for her suffering though. good for you though for not judging her like others did!
Later on I found out she'd had a cataeracts surgery and they'd botched it badly so she couldn't see well. Sometimes it's good to not pass quick first judgements on people. A lot of the time, not always of course but a lot of the time they are hurting too. For some reason unknown to you. This lady started to bring me in danishes and stuff. She was nice to me because I took one moment to pull myself outta my own pain to see hers.
@RecycledDreams I agree totally, finally someone that sees my way, there is this girl at my school that is a little bit different than everybody else and when she first came to school everybody made fun of her and bullied her sooo bad and i stuck up for her and later that year i found out that she gets badly abused and raped at home and was going through alot with court and stuff and I just started crying when she told me...just another example of not judging a book by its cover :)
I smiled and told her it was fine that I had one that was out of date the other day. Empathizing with her a bit and brushing it aside. The others I worked with most of them would have been rude to her. Then one day I told her a coupon was out of date and she pulled out a magnifying glass to look at it. I would have felt awful if i'd have been rude to her previously.
You have to sit back and try to see all sides of an issue. It's incrediably hard sometimes. Most times it is. There was this lady that would come into the store when I worked and everyone told me she was horrid. She had these coupons that were out of date a lot. But I kindly explained to her they were out of date. I'd ask if she still wanted the item. She always said no and after some time she began to apologize for the mix up.
I was picked on a lot in school and I wondered why I kept silent for so long now. We all have a voice and we all have something important to say or..write. I express myself through writing now. It's what I'm working on majoring in in college.
I learned as a cashier that one kind word can make all the difference in the world to someone.
@PurpleApples2013 You should always stand up for yourself dear. Took me a long time to realize that. However it's all in the manner in which you stand up for yourself. Do it with class and tact and you'll look better than the people cussing and shouting.
Comments like this disgust me. Can you not just watch a beautiful vid and not objectify every girl in it? If you have nothing intelligent to contribute, just shut up.
@treysongzsosexy I am not disrespecting anyone just because "I don't like them"! I didn't say I didn't like Sugarland, yes I like some of their songs, but I don't care for her voice...that's not disrespecful, it's an opinion. Everyone has a preference over what kind of voice/music they prefer and all I ment was that it's a great song, but disagreed with another comment on how they sounded alike since I hear a difference.
this song is my themesong when i was little i ran home crying alot this song when i frist heard it i said they are so right whatever the other kids did to me i stood back up and i just held my head high ever since then i have kept my head held high no matter what i am going threw my dad got dignoised with breast cancer and now he has been breast cancer free for 5 years now this song has two meanings in my life i beacame stronger becuse of this song and becuse of faith in my self

macaleynelson2012 1 year ago

RecycledDreams 1 year ago
@RecycledDreams i agree n ur a not a freak. im worse than u although we do share something bit in a common, not christian or catholic like the ameriacan society. sry if i offend anybody but i was raised as not to believe in giod, i am atheist.
shojogirl93 1 year ago
So true hun and sometimes theres nothing you can really do. She sounds like a really strong person and honestly it's amazing the things someone can live through. One day maybe she'll be a social worker or something and help people that are going through what she is or something similar. I'm sorry for her suffering though. good for you though for not judging her like others did!
RecycledDreams 1 year ago
Later on I found out she'd had a cataeracts surgery and they'd botched it badly so she couldn't see well. Sometimes it's good to not pass quick first judgements on people. A lot of the time, not always of course but a lot of the time they are hurting too. For some reason unknown to you. This lady started to bring me in danishes and stuff. She was nice to me because I took one moment to pull myself outta my own pain to see hers.

RecycledDreams 1 year ago
@RecycledDreams I agree totally, finally someone that sees my way, there is this girl at my school that is a little bit different than everybody else and when she first came to school everybody made fun of her and bullied her sooo bad and i stuck up for her and later that year i found out that she gets badly abused and raped at home and was going through alot with court and stuff and I just started crying when she told me...just another example of not judging a book by its cover :)
blakerocks97 1 year ago
I smiled and told her it was fine that I had one that was out of date the other day. Empathizing with her a bit and brushing it aside. The others I worked with most of them would have been rude to her. Then one day I told her a coupon was out of date and she pulled out a magnifying glass to look at it. I would have felt awful if i'd have been rude to her previously.
RecycledDreams 1 year ago
You have to sit back and try to see all sides of an issue. It's incrediably hard sometimes. Most times it is. There was this lady that would come into the store when I worked and everyone told me she was horrid. She had these coupons that were out of date a lot. But I kindly explained to her they were out of date. I'd ask if she still wanted the item. She always said no and after some time she began to apologize for the mix up.
RecycledDreams 1 year ago
I was picked on a lot in school and I wondered why I kept silent for so long now. We all have a voice and we all have something important to say or..write. I express myself through writing now. It's what I'm working on majoring in in college.
I learned as a cashier that one kind word can make all the difference in the world to someone.

This makes me want to stand up for myself =)
PurpleApples2013 1 year ago
@PurpleApples2013 You should always stand up for yourself dear. Took me a long time to realize that. However it's all in the manner in which you stand up for yourself. Do it with class and tact and you'll look better than the people cussing and shouting.
