  • there is a movie mistake at 1:19, Deniro is holding the stick at his right hand and after the camera changes we see he holds it at his left hand :D

    Busted!

    but still great scene.

  • I. Hate. Cancer.

  • Drugs Do not appear in the movie? Is it only alcohol? I mean, before going to Vietnam. I do not remember

  • Best scene of the movie but it also makes me cry RIP John :( I love Cazale, DeNiro and Walken!!!

  • Cazale and De Niro in this film, Madone!

  • I love Walken`s dance :)

  • I loved Axel in this movie. Most of the lines he said only "fuckin' A' " but I thought it was so awesome.

  • If I could pick a vacation spot, it'd be in the pocket of Christopher Walken's red flannel shirt. Beautiful, beautiful man.

  • g@1207arian It's such a beautiful song :)

  • its really sad but true how war can change you forever.....

  • "There's no sense in gettin' too relaxed, buddy" *takes beer away*

  • Cherish every moment with your friends...you never know when you'll hang out with them again.

  • This scene is so ordinary and real, that its extraordinary. Classic.

  • i person cant play pool like robert de niro.

  • I certainly don't blame any people at the Ohio bars for not recognizing Bobby D...

That further shows how good an actor he can be - he just blends into the environment that he's trying to study. Today's stars are often about themselves, their careers, their satisfaction.... Robert was about integrity - being real....

Hope he has a few more legendary performances up his sleeve. I recommend Everybody's Fine - though it wasn't a huge hit, it was, from my experience, credible in re family life

  • Fuckin Great Scene

  • Classic movie, great actors and one of the best ensemble casts ever. Christopher Walken is obviously still very charismatic and amazingly talented, but I forgot how gorgeous he was back then ;-).

  • Love the scene!

  • If there's anything I've learned from The Deer Hunter, it's that you don't where a scarf with a tuxedo.

  • classsic..

  • best scene in the movie

  • 1:35 is axle's hand rub on a friend

  • Oh God, what a scene, what an actors ! Oscar certainly can't see Cazale's talent.

  • This is such a great and classic scene. Its great to see De Niro and Walken havin fun. :)

  • Love it when he starts singing with the instrumental part.

  • John Cazale is amazing.

  • I grew up in the town in the film, Mingo Jct. Ohio. My mother used to tend bar in Welsh's Bar.

My father(Wheeling Pitt Steel) tells stories about "Bobby". He meet him at a bar about 6 months before the movie was filmed. Bobby was looking for a job in the mill but not having much luck. He would always ask questions about the mill and the area and how people lived. The production crew showed up and my dad was shocked that "Bobby" was Rober DeNiro and he was a actor doing research.

  • @redfistaor this story is just incredible. such an actor this robert de Niro..

  • @redfistaor

Thanks for this classic De Niro story. I would have loved to have met De Niro like your dad did.

I love movies - so I wonder if by 1978 I would have recognized De Niro.... He said that a few people did recognize him driving a cab before 1976.

  • @MrLarryLessor These simple salt of the Earth people in Eastern Ohio, they had no clue who he was. Besides he had the beard that he wore in the movie at the time.

  • @redfistaor you are a luck sob!!!

  • @redfistaor classic tune i always relate to this moment but then again im old ha ha

  • Mi pelicula favorita y la escena que mas me gusta de ella.

    Gracias

  • More cowbell....

  • @VanHowle yes

  • damn the video quality in this is great

  • It's a shame we only got 5 movies out of John Cazale. He was excellent. Very underappreciated.

  • Awesome. Let's all go a bar people! Have a drink on me.

  • Ahhhh Tremont, Ohio... gotta love this!

  • i am only 21 and this film brings a tear to my eye

    i love this fim

  • como me gusta esta escena, me tiene loca. jodidamente loca. encima esa cancion.... y este movimiento que hace christhoper walken.. tan secsiiii!

  • This is this. This ain't something else. This is this.

  • ja!! es perfecto este momento!!

  • Love this film. John Cazale will be missed.

  • it's been like 30 years since he died. lol

  • @getclutch72 for an actor who did not have many major roles, he was splendid.

  • @getclutch72 Damn dude, I would've loved to share a drink or beat someone up with this dude. Maybe his personal life while filming this is the reason I love this movie so much. DeNiro and Streep's humanity is written all over this movie. The movie is so good cause the cause was so good... That's what makes a good movie. That's why people hate on a movie in the 40's and then love them in the '90s. Idk but #ItMakesSense

  • Great clip, absolute timeless classic.

    Movie hits every emotion possible!

  • that video has a quite great definition unlike my dvd :( . where did you get it from???

  • @champi133 Nothing special with the dvd really. Bought it like 5 years ago at sale hehe. All my videos ive just played on windows media player and then used fraps to record. Its only 30 fps, so kinda have lag on the videos :(

  • "No sense in getting too relaxed, buddy."

    John Cazale, what a legend.

  • @theinfamouscamXXII All the films he made got nominated for best picture :) Real legend.
