@Weswes1994 I agree you see more of the real Gordon Ramsay on the F Word and his other UK shows, but there are times on Hell's Kitchen that Gordon shows his sweet, gentle, and occasionally playful side.
God some of Ramsay's comments make me want to cry, they are like really heartwarming after seeing so many clips of him tearing people apart, love it...
@CynicalRaver Outside of the culinary business, Chef Ramsay has a big warm heart and can be very caring, gentle, and sweet. Believe it or not, he also loves to be hugged!
Dave will be the greatest contestant of all time. No matter who goes against him, be it S9 will or S6 kevin, Dave will still be the best. He fought through pain for weeks, and as time went by, the pain worsened but Dave still fought hard. This level of courage, endurance and determination has been outstanding and i dont think any chef in HK would be able to perform or have as much fight as compared to Dave. He is indeed the greatest hero that HK would ever have.
Dave was a frickin tough as nails animal, Rock was precisely that, and Heather was a talented sweetheart. All three winners of Hell's Kitchen who actually deserved to win and my three favorite contestants of all time. This list is win.
What you're really seeking here in this list is the Hell's Kitchen contestants most worthy of our respect. I mostly agree... but Rock is not on mine. He became spoiled, entitled, had bursts of anger. I definitely agree with your #1. Dave is and will always be my favorite Hell's Kitchen contestant and winner of all time. All of these chefs are talented and passionate and deserved to either win or make it as far as they did. I thought that some should have been ranked just a bit higher than others but all in all, every chef in this video deserves to be on anybody's list of the greatest contestants from Hell's Kitchen history.

@JaSchAirbourne Well to each their own. But remember, Ramsay doesn't care about experience, he cares about passion and creativity. I was definitely rooting for Petrozza too but admittingly he was a little too soft in the leadership department. Still, both of them were excellent chefs, and that's why they're both on this list.

@bucamarie Why should she be? She's slow and dull. The only reason she won was because of her palate and Ramsay values that a lot. Dave has been and still is the top contestant because he was the only one who pulled through the entire thing with a broken arm and serious pain and showed talent along the way. To me, most contestants don't even take the show seriously but this guy actually gave his 100%, and that qualifies as #1 for me.

My favorite from the list was Julia.Ever since the episode when Ramsay looked at the menu that the teams put together and he asked her what was her input. She said none of the items on the menu were her input. He asked her what she wanted and she said she wanted to put New York strip steak on the menu, and Ramsay told her to put it on the menu, then every customer ordered New York Strip steak, that sold me on her.

Petrozza should have won. *A Warning to ALL potential contestants: If you are over the age of 30 do not enter the contest for Hell's Kitchen unless all you want is something to mention on your resume, YOU will not ever win the contest because Ramsay is looking for 'green' culinary careerists that he can mold appropriately.

robert should be in the top 3. even though he did badly in season 6. he is a proud chef. and he should get respect of everything hes been through (having to post-pone his marrage because of hells kitchen)

@1ndr44ever He was a talented cook but a not-so-great team player. IMO he was selfish, sleazy, and sometimes mean. The only chefs from Season 1 who I liked were Elsie and Dewberry.
